This sucks

I just recently found my old copy of the original GTA and tried to run it. Its such a primative game that i had to LOWER my refresh rate to run it. I just thought that was kinda funny.

I remember that top-down view, I tried to play with it in GTA3, but counldn't. Once you get to third person view, you can't go back to top down. I did like jacking cars and "selling" them at the port and get money.

Yeah, that was one of the best games i ever played, the motorcycles were nice, too bad they don't have 'em in GTA3, that would be reeeaaally cool.

Okay since were on the topic of GTA... Which do you guys think is better: GTA 3 on computer or GTA 3 on PS2.

I would personally say GTA 3 on computer because you can make your own wepons or at least modify them. You also get a cross hair in the third person but you cant lock on.

Which is your favorite?

Hmm, i got a ps2 and i've got gta3 on it too.

I haven't really played the game on computer yet, but it is good on ps2.

I wish i had a crosshair in the game, aiming without locking is really hard.

WHat do you mean with modifying your own weapons? Tell me more about it, i've never heared about that before...

What i mean is that you can add scopes and change how fast it fires. I dont know all of the new features...

Oh, and you can edit your own cars. Give them paint jobs. etc etc etc. I havent seen it all but i just know it from my friends who play it night and day.

I was seriously hanging out for GTA3, we used to spend hours playing GTA and GTA2 on LAN, and it was always fun.

When I found out GTA3 didn't support multiplayer, I was righteously pissed off.

Does anyone know if there are plans for a multiplayer patch, ala Swat 3?

well from what i heard the pc version isnt as good as what most say it is, the best feature that i was lookin forward to was the multiplay, which is scratched, than the bigest problem is the fact that everybody sezz that the game plays like crap, even on a good machine. that and the addons ill bet wont be that great either. i have the ps2 version and well id rather spend money on ofp resistance, warcraft 3, and hitman 2

You can lock on. You have to go to the controls menu and select "classic" controls.

But locking on is a very hard way of actually killing people
