t0t3m 1 Posted April 8, 2012 If you are not interested in DLCs you should buy Arma 2: Combined Operations (arma 2 + operation arrowhead) otherwise you can buy Arma X and get everything related to Arma - Arma 2 in one package
RSF TheCapulet 59 Posted April 9, 2012 http://www.amazon.com/Meridian4-40365ned-Operations-ArmA2-Combined/dp/B003UV8RRE/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames-download&ie=UTF8&qid=1333958658&sr=1-1 $10 combined ops Easter sale. Doubt it will last long. As for versions, there aren't really versions of anything. There's just Arma 2, the stand alone expansion pack Operation arrowhead, and the two DLC packs: BAF and PMC. Arrowhead and A2 are sold together in a pack called combined ops. Arma 2's folder can be run as a mod folder within the command line of an Arrowhead shortcut, or they can be launched together via a good launcher application. The DLC content is vaguely included in game as "lite" low definition content so there are no MP compatibility issues. "Arma X" is the complete Arma package, which includes literally everything "arma" ever made. So in conclusion, get combined ops. :P
33BO11OF00 10 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) What does that term DLC mean? Sorry I am new here in this game. Also explain those BAF and PMC terms. Arma X also contains full OFP game which I already have. Few questions more: Should I get in my new computer I5 or I7 processor? Does that SSD drive speed up much system? max power 21 Posted April 9, 2012 There is ArmA 2, it's stand alone expansion, Operation Arrowhead, and the two Down Loadable Content expansions, British Armed Forces and Private Military Contractors. Alternatively, the two DLCs come bundled together as their own standalone expansion style game called ArmA 2: Reinforcements.
33BO11OF00 10 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) If I can find it I will try to buy that ARMA X edition which contains everything. OFP and ARMAS. That ARMA X edition also contains OFP game. Edited April 10, 2012 by 33BO11OF00 Info added
