Multiplayer Server Problems

Recommended Posts

So I've this problem with hosting servers.

Now, I CAN host, and one of my mates can join,

However it's ONLY him that can join, nobody else I ask on Xfire can get into my games,

It just tells them they can't. My game is ArmA 2, Operation Arrowhead and British Armed Forces with Private Military Company LITE.

With windows firewall off they still can't join.

I'm hosting on a port I already have forwarded in my router.

I have UPnP enabled along with my router's Firewall,

What is the work-around for this? How can I solve it?

How can people finally join my games?..

--Edit--

Here's a picture of the things my Router has enabled.

I apologize for bumping, still haven't solved this though.

Anybody know what to do?

Would this mate of yours happen to be a flatmate? In other words, is he on your local network, or also connecting via the internet? Seems strange that only one guy can connect and all others can't, so I wonder what's different about him. :)

Some more questions:

- What is the exact error message that other people see when trying to join?

- Can these people see your game in the MP browser?

- If so, what color icon do they see?

Both players are from England whilst I am living in Ireland, there's also a third player from Estonia who cannot connect.

The message they get is "Disconnected" or "Cannot Connect"

They see my game in the MP Browser, having to filter my name.

Not too sure on what color it is.

they all running the same version ?...ie they all patched up ...

other things... ports have you opened enough ?

port UDP (used for game)

port+1 UDP (used for server reporting)

port+3 UDP (used for VoN transmissions)

You can try placing your IP in a demilitarized zone to see if your router is being too clever.
