capt_morpheme 10 Posted December 27, 2011 I've the HSim folder and the xml files released from the comunity. Need to remove Hsim folder and the .xml files before installing the 1.03 patch?
jedra 11 Posted December 27, 2011 I don't think it will matter if you don't (I forgot to move it and it didn't affect the update). If you run the game with it still in place, it will use the flightmodels in that HSIM folder rather than the updated ones in the patch though.

blakeace 11 Posted December 27, 2011 Hi all,did I miss something? What is HSim-Folder and xml-Files? And where can I get them? thanks Mike http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=126795 Hsim/xml discussion is all related to this thread, of which the final results were integrated into the 1.03 patch which was just released. Which I have linked to below. So content of the HSIM folder is no longer required ATM :) http://takeonthegame.com/game-updates/
capt_morpheme 10 Posted December 28, 2011 Ok. So if i install the patch 1.03 and i don't delete HSim folder TOH will use the FM from HSim and not the patch one? To use the flight model of the 1.03 patch I'll have to delete HSim folder. Confirm this please.
beepee 10 Posted December 28, 2011 Ok. So if i install the patch 1.03 and i don't delete HSim folder TOH will use the FM from HSim and not the patch one?To use the flight model of the 1.03 patch I'll have to delete HSim folder. Confirm this please. Yes, that's right. But to use 1.03 patch FM you don't need to delete the HSim folder, you can just rename it to something like "HSim_" or move it somewhere else. Then ToH will use it's own FM. To use Hsim FM rename it back to "HSim".
sickboy 13 Posted December 28, 2011 Use the startup parameter -noFilePatching to prevent hsim folder to be loaded.
zentaos 10 Posted December 28, 2011 or put the hsim folder into a mod folder :)
sickboy 13 Posted December 28, 2011 or put the hsim folder into a mod folder :) Shouldn't work, prefixes are calculated from the game folder as root, not from modfolders.
capt_morpheme 10 Posted December 28, 2011 Ok the question is growing too complicated for me. I'm new in BIS games. Can I easily delete the HSim folder? Need I to reinstall patch 1.03 after that?
beepee 10 Posted December 28, 2011 Yes, you can delete HSim folder. No, you don't need to reinstall patch 1.03 after that.
