tpw 2315 Posted November 24, 2011 This is probably a question with a blindingly obvious answer, which I couldn't find by searching the forum or googling. Let's say in the editor I add a BLUFOR crewed MH-6J. It comes with its US pilot. I'd like to replace that pilot with someone else, but still have them as pilot. Is this rocket surgery with configs etc, or a few simple commands in the init? Thanks in advance.
Angus S 10 Posted November 24, 2011 Place the pilot you want and then place an empty MH-6J (Empty/Air/MH-6J i think). Synchronize them together and make the pilot "In Cargo". That should work
tpw 2315 Posted November 24, 2011 Thanks Angus S, if only it were so simple, that's the first thing I tried. After trawling the BIS wiki, in the end this worked for me: Name the chopper eg "chopper" In the init of the pilot this assignAsDriver chopper [this] orderGetIn true Not 100% pretty but it does the job. Thanks again.

Angus S 10 Posted November 24, 2011 That's strange that it doesn't work, I do it like that all the time with planes. The only difference is the I put the planes as "flying"

Charles Darwin 10 Posted November 26, 2011 you will still want to assign as driver otherwise the AI doesnt always realise he is a pilot
