Well, I vote NO because that's what I _hope_

The first films where memorable and stuck to me like glue. The last two I had forgotten before I had left the theatre - they where just a flash with no impact.

Does anyone even care about Star Wars anymore ?  Aside from those corny nerdy freaks who sleep in front of the movie theater I doubt there are as many fans as they used to.

Everyone of my co-workers or friends is not even bothering to see Episode II.

I mean it was great back in the 70s when it debuted its special effects and all, but geez Lucas, give it a rest. Move on and make a movie that will actually have people talking when they walk out of a theater.

do you work for a huge company or something, or do you work with highly respected movie critics or something. Im sure movies like j-lo's enough are great for you, i think the problem is people have to high of standards for the star wars series, watch the old trilogy again and see all the corny shit thats in it.

I voted no, just to play the devils advocate to everyone who said yes, and also because he capped it off pretty well at the end of episode 6. Darth is dead, the Emperor is dead, Laya is Lukes sister, etc. So were talking about a completely new story line if this series was ever to be continued.

I have to say that episode II was very good. I mean, yoda fighting... Thatll be hard to top. That was a hilarious scene, which everyone including myself was laughing through.

I doubt ill see the third one, cause you know pretty much what is going to happen. I mean the special effects will be good im sure, but you just know where itll end up.

LOL!

No, actually I like good movies, with good acting, good storyline, etc.

Not pathetic little sci fi flicks like Episode I where Jar Jar Binks is more pathetic and predictable than Mickey Mouse, and where that little kid who wins the races steals a fighter, easily gets inside the big invasion ship and saves the day by accidently blowing the reactor or something of that sort.

That's good action, but even Independence Day was more believable than this.

thats fine, i like good movies too, but you said your friends and co-workers are not going to see it, i guess if i knew your friends and co-workers i might respect their opinion or even yours but i dont.

Well geez, you made it quite clear with the name of this thread that you're asking people's opinions on what they think about Episode VI.

Sorry for answering.

I didn't like Episode I because it was so.... 'business like'. The characters didn't even seem to have real emotions, I found them to be too 'formal'. Would it kill the human actors to act human? Would it hurt them to smile now and then?

Watching the movie felt far to factual, I had no emotions for the characters at all. The makers of the movie would just throw in an occaisional wise crack here and there and count on the special effects to save the show.

I don't plan on seeing Episode II.

Well, that was my attempt at a movie review.

at the very least, see it when it comes out on video. It was pretty much an attempt at making the series more serious, but it was actually about 50 times better than episode one. It was definitely worth seeing, even just once.

it would be enjoyable to see epert and roeper or whatver their names are do a show where they reviews movies they have not seen. it appears many people like reviewing movies they dont see.

Well, iv seen episode one, and i can say it honestly sucked worse than anything that has sucked before. It was heralded as the best 'family' movie of the year.......Ya get that, the best family movie? Star wars isnt about family, its about telling a good story. I was raised on these movies, and i was one scared shitless little 3-year-old when i saw darth vader for the first time. I can only hope ILM doesnt follow suit and start using jaw dropping special effects to make up for serious lacks in story lines.............though it kinda already has. confused.gif

Yea i would have to agree with you on that aculaud. Episode 1 did kinda suck. I mean when you compare it too episode II special effects wise i think they could have done better. I mean it was pretty good but Episode II had sweet special effects. Especially the Clone armies OMG! Thats what i would like to see in a cinema scene in flashpoint. *drools* But seeing as how we can only have 63 guys it wont happen.

actually, we can only get 63 GROUPS per SIDE. With a max of 12 guys in a group, this means that each side can have up to 760 some soldiers.

and yeah, episode 2 had slick battle scenes.
