EoTech/Aimpoint sights off

Has there been any type of script that can simulate an EMP efect on weapon sights such as Aimpoint and EOTech which will make the sights, for lack of better terminology, turn off? Has there been one for all the other guns that use similar sight types?

I would be more interested to know if EMP would actually have any effect as nearly all military electronics are shielded against EMP amd radioactive effects.

Only in theory. The more microelectronics are used the less EMP proof the equipment. We used old SEM 25 Transceivers and KP7 encripting machines well into the 90's because of this reason...this radios still used vaccuum tubes. The EMP issue also was the reason why ironsights were on ALL rifles back then. Todays eqipment is not produced anymore with the rugedness and EMP resistance that was a required specification in cold war.

Today most electronic gadgets that military uses is just the same as the civil one just in a drab green light metal housing. That's also the reason why the G36 daylight sight does not need batteries to work, it uses daylight that lights the aimpoint.
