Bosun 0 Posted June 6, 2002 Okay beating this with a old stick...but just wanted to say a couple more words about your mission (original thread l think)..i tried again....this time with a whole new plan, go in get the job done, get out. Â Headed northwest to Levie this time, ( did you know there's some fool in a sports car out there on the hills?) really.. Â Well not much happening in Levie, followed the two tanks (from afar) to Durras, and placed myself in the woods...no not scared just cautious. Â My eye caught a jeep, bang, "You" that's him" Â Boy was l excited. Â Well left the old m21 (with lots of goddamn ammo by the way ) Â in town and headed out, west...walked along the beach all the way to the pick up spit.. ..helo picked me up this time, Â very good end cutscene. FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 6, 2002 Before I take my forum break, I`ll try to release a final version of Operation Stiletto that will (hopefully) contain: - some more links in the briefing for Avon - a pickup helo that takes off with you onboard - a few more civilians, that will a) alert the russians when they spot you or b) even try to get a gun and fight you - maybe some changes that make it more clear that you drop your rifle in Durras - less ammo for the player on the mission beginning (I hate it if all my work in placing the russians is wiped out within a few minutes ) Is there more I forgot? And the amount of ammo the player starts out with is fine, thank you very much. You know...a night version of this using a black op guy instead of a sniper might be interesting... FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 13, 2002 Soon final version including: -heli that picks you up and flies off with you -meaner patrols -a little less ammo -a few nasty changes incl. optimised patrol WPs and so on... -improved second mission objective. FallenPaladin 0 Posted June 14, 2002 I think next tuesday. I made a cutscene for mission objective two, but today in the morning I realized that I did real bullshit. I wanted to make the civilian behaviour more realistic. Because I was not yet able to do this by triggering I thought cutscenes would fit in, if a civilian got view of you. But unfortunately the cutscenes would also start, if you fired a shot in the surrounding area... Â I have to find a resolution for this problem over the weekend. My dreams are a few civilians, that try to alert the russians, after seeing you. Or even some that try to arm themselves and fight you. I have a dream... PopUpTarget 0 Posted June 14, 2002 Fallen, civilians arming themselves would be an interesting touch. But for your basic story line of the civilians being under the thumb of these guys, it may be more "realistic" for them panic and seek cover? On the other hand, maybe if I shot one or two civilians (with all the extra ammo I'll have...phhhttt) they would think the troops did it, and perhaps grab weapons and turn on them?
