domokun 515 Posted September 6, 2011 Whenever I play Arma 2's first SP mission (Trial by Fire) all the sound effects are very quiet. I don't experience this problem with any other missions, be they SP or MP, official or non-official. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround? nettrucker 144 Posted September 6, 2011 I can confirm this. A workaround? Not that I know of. regards
.kju 3245 Posted September 6, 2011 Did you update a2 to 1.10?
domokun 515 Posted September 6, 2011 No I don't think I have patched A2 to 1.10. Do I need to, given that I have OA patched to 1.59 with the latest beta patch (83400) ?
.kju 3245 Posted September 6, 2011 It was fixed in 1.10 AFAIK. Trial by Fire is an a2 mission after all, no?
domokun 515 Posted September 6, 2011 OK. I suppose the 1.10 patch must also contain content patches, not just engine corrections. I will test tonight and report back tomorrow.
nettrucker 144 Posted September 7, 2011 tested with version 1.10 by launching first only ArmA II, than combined operations. . . seems that this patch has corrected the issue. The chopper conversation is a little low on db, respective to group or sidechat. But this is most probably purpose since you're in a loud and noisy chopper. For me this issue stands corrected with 1.10.
Hanzu 10 Posted September 8, 2011 We all should have checked CIT in the first place by doing a search there with "Trial By Fire" It says clearly there it was fixed in Arma2 V1.10 patch. http://dev-heaven.net/issues/13530
domokun 515 Posted September 8, 2011 You're right, I should have checked except that the site is blocked by my firewall  I'm happy to say that, after testing, I can confirm that this audio bug was indeed squashed in the 1.10 patch
Hanzu 10 Posted September 9, 2011 the site is blocked by my firewall  CIT may have limited bandwith since every now and then I can't get there either. The error message in browser was just black text in white background and may give false impression it is related to firewall even though it is not. Try again later too see it that is the case for you too. http://dev-heaven.net/
