Sound mods

Recommended Posts

Hi there, ex-operation flashpoint fanboy here (until they messed up/I got a better pc). Anywho, I just got Arma 2 Reinforcements and I heard about sound mods a while ago.

What I'm looking for are more realistic weapon sounds and less robotic sounding comm sounds.

I have searched the web for that already, but, as we Dutchies say, I can't see the the forest 'cause of those darn trees.

Can anyone help me find the right mods?

Evryone like somthing else i use jsrs v1.33. If you have only arma 2 reinforcements check mod readme many mods need arma 2 co.

Other sound mods:

rws, vop sound, hifi, just write arma 2 sound mod in google or youtube and check what you like and download what is the best for you :)

This is a quite hard, but I will give you two to start...

JSRS - Arguably the most popular - or at least seems to be.

ACE - The ACE mod has its own sound mod included - pretty good.

Others include Sound Of Anders (SOA). Chammy's sound mod. Look for sound mods on Armaholic and just try them is my advice.

EDIT - Sorting by MOD type on the six updater gives you 17 sound mods (although 3 of those are JSRS)!

Topic moved to correct section and while you are here you might want to check this section as well. The question has been asked really dozen of times and the answer is always the same.

"Everyone likes something different!"

Just try all soundmods and use the one which you like most.

And, not being to able to find soundmods is kind of weird, they are listed here for example:

- Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead / Combined Operations soundmods

- Arma 2 soundmods

Yeah I tried the ACE mod and really hated it for some reason. Tried it again not long ago and never looked back. My eardrums don't thank me for it though.

Never tried that JSRS but it sounds great on youtube, might give it a go soon.
