Silence AI

Is there any way to silence AI units so their speech isn't heard? I know ACE can silence AI, but I was wondering if there are any scripts or commands I can use to mute and unmute the AI.

In Arma2, in order to simulate full radio silence, I setup the AI with identities without a voice, and removed all radios. When no longer in effect, I gave them radios and changed to normal identities with voice. Not possible to prevent orders during radio silence.
