Any chance to disable file checking in SP mode?

Recommended Posts

I spend most time playing SP mode with mission editor. But the file checking function is really time wasting. The more mod pbos you have the longer time it takes. Now my arma2 folder has 18.1GB data. Every time I start the game, it takes loooooooooooooooong time to check the pbo's configs, singantures, etc. I update my hd to ssd, but with 18.1GB data, the checking time is still too long!

So can BI or any moder make an option ' -nocheck' just like the ' -nosplash ' thing in SP mode??? That would be great for SP player or those who need to start and exit the game frequently when making missions/mods.

86Gb and ...

17.2 seconds with 54 mods loaded.

55.1 seconds with 130 mods loaded (but there was a config error dialogue I had to 'OK').

On a Vortex3 SSD though.

Perhaps you are loading too many mods at one time? If you use Six Updater you can set up profiles so you only load the mods you need for that session. No messing about having to set up different shortcuts for different setups.

Also check your .rpt file, some of your mods may be kicking out errors which would extend the loading times.
