Reviewing my post now, my words were too harsh, cause it seemed such a big error was ignored. I didn't think of the great effort you put into supporting a long ago released game.

This support of a game is one major fact, why I have and will always return to it.

Would a sniper still be able to hit a unit moving alongside an interpolated path? Or is the movement just eye candy and not always linked to the real position? So that bullets would cut through a ghost image at times?

Yes, the sniper is able to hit. This is the difficult part, which I have tried to describe in the blog - what you see on screen always needs to be thew "authoritative" version, even if it is in fact a result of interpolation.

You can imagine it like all AI units are living in the future, but player interacting with "recent" state, which from their point of view is already "past" state.

Bullet impacts (dust, blood) are not displayed at all with the new beta :|

When turning off the weapons flightlight, the beam of light stays on aiming in the last direction it was pointing when it was on. If you turn it back on, the previous beam disapears and it's now fallowing as normal until you turn it off again.

Regarding the issue about 360 field of vision for vehicles, I was not aware of it, mostly because it was not upvoted enough - now that I am aware of it, I will look at it, because "I personally consider it to be fundamental"

Can you quit BIS and go work at my cable company / ISP? This kind of customer service is unbelievable. :D

very dumb idea! You can always change to a better ISP, but there is no other Arma you can switch to. ;)

Can anyone confirm this bug that started with this patch.

Place an AI controlled static gunner/searchlight close to the Lighthouse on Utes.

Now kill the AI and move in, I'm getting a lot of stutter and sometimes the game will freeze for around 10-20 seconds.

If you move the static unit a good distance away from the lighthouse the problem goes away.

It doesn't seem to happen with empty units.

Bug still present in 83110 .

UPDATE the game doesn't freeze your just not able to move the gun but the rest of the game continues.

If you exit the gun while the animation is stuck and look back at the gun it starts to turn on it's own.
