Coop is ruining this game! What happened to PvP?

BIS... you guys, please, need to emphasize the PvP abilities of this game series.

At this second, I count 30 plus servers in the multiplayer list and EVERYONE of them is a coop... evo or domination.

PLEASE make a better attempt to market this game to its full potential and sell the player vs player modes!

You guys at BIS did one incredible thing! You made the smartest, yet stupidest AI on the planet. Now all servers run only Coop!

I cannot even begin to say how many players I've run into that had no idea that your titles could even play against other real live thinking enemies. No Clue at all! They only thought it was a coop playable game.

A LOT OF YOUR CUSTOMERS HAVE NO IDEA THAT THEY CAN EVEN PLAY AGAINST OTHER REAL PLAYERS!!!

I have been a dedicated, hardcore player of your games since OFP BETA. I love your games... I just hate to see how very limited coop play has made them.

It's a sad thing to see 30+ servers with the same mission on all of them. I remember how varied the maps and missions where in OFP, just epic in their variety and differences.

It's just my opinion , but Coop play has stifled your game.

If anyone else feels this way then please let BIS know how important Player vs Player game play is to this community and that they need to support it fully.

Please don't put an equals sign between coop and Domination. Domination is a special concept mission that is far from coop missions with focused goals. It happens to be madly popular, and you can only blame the community for that.

If you want my autopsy report on pvp, it died with the animation changes in Arma 1. Thousands of pvp players that were very active in OFP were simply put off by the clumsy and glitchy animations and never came back, thus there was no fertile ground for a pvp scene in Arma 2. The quality of pvp missions has only increased since then, but the pvp community isn't large enough anymore, so those missions seldom get played unless they have 24/7 dedicated servers for that, e.g. Valhalla or AAS.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I've played a few sessions of Domination in A2 and it seems it has gone way downhill from A1. Maybe I just happened to get into a couple of bogus games but it wasn't enjoyable at all.

I'd like to see more PvP or at least something like Insurgency which is fantastic.

I know a two "team" Domination exists but I've yet to ever see it played on any server. So to me, Domination=Coop. All players on one side against AI is the very definition of Coop, no matter how complex the tasks or objectives.

You're a loon. A real person is 10,000x smarter than any AI a video game has yet to produce. Plus, it's so much more satisfying when you virtually kill them :D.

I agree, I know many people who do not even know of the ability for PvP. I personally find PvP on a huge scale an incredibly attractive game mode, the more the better.

Pvp is a way of life for me and it hurts me to see such a beautiful game not have a better sense of player vs player, i agree with most that the game developers should market pvp more.

I will agree that we need to have more PVP. I have played both coop and PVP. And players seem to have more fun with PVP on the right server. Map building for me is a lot more fun when building PVP maps. So PVP,PVP,PVP and more PVP please. Thats my 2 bits.

Do it yourself! A simple PvP mission is not that hard to make at all. Really, if the PvP playerbase was sooo huge, I can guarantee you that there would be more PvP missions. But there isn't, that is because the PvP crowd is smaller.

AJAX420 launch ArmA2 v1.10 and join the ArmA2.ru AAS server.

It has up to 60-80 players daily.

That aside voicing your preference of PvP towards BI is good.

However the way you are doing it, unfortunately does not shed a good light on you

and most likely will not lead to BI listen to you.

My advice next to a more calm and rational feedback is to head to the CIT and vote

the tickets of your preference you feel important for PvP.
