wolfbite 8 Posted May 25, 2011 I dont think sumbmarines have ever been designed to withstand torpedos..... Just like jets arent designed to withstand missiles.......
Tonmeister 14 Posted May 25, 2011 To me, it seemed that the player's game world became the vehicle, with the rest of the world moving instead.. that comment could easily have been a segue into quantum physics... or musical theatre
nodunit 397 Posted May 25, 2011 Hearing chainsaws made me think of this (just couldn't remember what it was before) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpjadypQ74Q#t=4m50s
Daniel 0 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) I dont think sumbmarines have ever been designed to withstand torpedos..... Just like jets arent designed to withstand missiles....... The hull itself is designed to withstand the extreme pressure. Submarines are not designed to defeat the threat in the way that reactive armour works, but they are designed to minimise the damage from any blast, with shock mounted equipment and compartments. Daniel 0 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) It's nothing on a Typhoon, but it's pretty big for a Brit sub. ;) Luckily BIS haven't used this a reference and remembered to fit the rear cowling. If you want an idea of how tight the corridors are, check this link http://www.astuteclass.com/take-the-astute-tour/section-4/ Use your mouse wheel to zoom in to a better FoV. And that's without the crew walking up and down. Edited May 25, 2011 by Daniel
