Where should i start?

I'm new to editing and i was wondering, where should i start? Like what kinds of missions should i make?

As to what type of missions to start on. Make something you would like to play:). Its really up to you.

I suggest you start with actual EDITING like making waypoints, triggers, etc. Before you get into actual SCRIPTING which is way harder.

As MathewH123 above me had said get the basics down and learn how to create waypoints, and triggers and stuff,

how to insert units, groups, ect,.

Once you get the basics, and can pretty much build your own missions, then expand from there.

If your interested I could hook up with you some time, hop on my ventrilo and I can walk you through the basics on editing,

kinda of alike a live hands on course if you will, I have done that for a few guys in the past, i'll send you a pm, up to you,

but if anything stick with basics first.

Just fool around with various basic mission concepts.

That way you will learn all the newbie tricks first. Like using dostop to prevent grouped units from joining the leader. This way you can do ambushes.

Or putting static weapons in a group with a spotter as leader, so they will share information and no one will change position.

The advanced stuff can come later.

Read up on guardedby triggers along with guard waypoints, lotsa fun straight out of the editor, also get yourself the troopmon mod, me on phone so don't have link but this enables you to see all units while the mission playing, great for debugging and understanding what different waypoints do and ai behaviour etc.
