After a long time it's time to send a sign of life. :)

I'm not really active anymore but in november I felt like building a small MP mission. In my previous missions I used tons of scripts but this time I wanted to use the editor. Apart from using the revive-scripts it went well. Initially, I wanted to publish the mission at christmas, but I didn't manage that and then I forgot the mission. Now I found it again, did the last few things and release it now, nearly one year after my last SP mission "National Missile Defense".

Mission: Free Shapur

Typ: Multiplayer Coop

Players: 8

Uses ArmA2 with OA

No other addons required.

Good mission with a solid concept and lots of action, executed by one of the last mission heroes. A definate keeper :)

Is this mission uses any kind of respawn/reviee? If so, what kind of respawn/revives is used?

What kind of respawn do you want?

Or complete without respawn?

With norrins revive you almost always have the option to disable revive (i.e. set ammount of lives to null) via the parameter thingie :)

(which can also be made default with just a small description.ext change)

If he like to have a mission complete without respawn, I also have to defuse the start a little bit.

But that's no problem. Just a few minutes :)

Ok, I built a second version with group respawn.

I put both in one zip-file. Please use the link in my first post. :)

co08_coa_FreeShapur.Shapur_BAF.pbo --> uses Norrin revive respawn

co08_coa_gr_FreeShapur.Shapur_BAF.pbo --> uses group-respawn

Defusing the start is a good idea maybe. :D

I tried it alone with KI only and in the end my only option left was running into that building and hide until they came and got me. :)

Nice mission for sure, nice to see you are not completely vanished from the scene.

I tested the no respawn/revive version on the CiA server and found no problems. However, I was alone and only tried the beginning of the mission and didn't go through it all.

It seemed fine to me, but once we will seriously play it with more players, I will let you know how we did. Thank you!

Damn! This mission is hard :) We didn't yet manage to get through clearing the airfield yet. Thanks for this mission though. It's enjoyable!

I wanted to build a mission where the action starts directly. Normally you have as much time as you like. It could take many minutes until every teammate have chosen the right weapon out of 20 ammo boxes.

Here you are in the middle just from the beginning.

It's important that you get the ammo box at the plane to get some anti-tank-launchers.

Than it's not that hard to get the airport. We managed that with 2 Players.

Great approach. Manny mission lack a quick entrance to combat. Really hoping to see more (no-revives, no respawn) coops from you!
