meade95 0 Posted April 8, 2011 Does enemy AI automatcially look to heal their wounded??? or do you need to link their medics to the First Aid Module?? Same question for BluFor AI. Does BLUFOR / Friendly units automatically heal themselves if wounded? (as long as a medic is placed).
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted April 8, 2011 Enemy AI Medics will heal their team mates, along with healing themselves. (I luv capping their arse at that moment)
kireta21 13 Posted April 8, 2011 AI medics are handled by squad leader. 1. AI soldier reports getting hit to squad leader. 2. AI squad leader orders medic to treat wounded. 3. AI medic goes to wounded soldier and heals him. If squad leader is human, he has to issue orders himself, same as AI squad leader does. First Aid Module is something different. It allows linked units to be wounded to the point of beign unable to fight, but still alive.
meade95 0 Posted April 8, 2011 First Aid Module is something different. It allows linked units to be wounded to the point of beign unable to fight, but still alive. Huh, I didn't know this - Also, why can't I order my medic to "heal" other BluFor units that aren't under my command? I've noticed when doing a Combined Op with fellow BluFor units (AI units). I can't simply order my medic to heal other wounded BluFor AI units...
Tonci87 163 Posted April 8, 2011 ? Really, It always works for me
meade95 0 Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) Maybe because I always use the First Aid Module (sync'd to my unit). I use all three First Aid Mods (First Aid, First Aid Simulation and First Aid battle field clearence). Do I need to use these??? Nevermind - Went and looked it up myself - I did not know healing was standard without the First Aid Mods - Maybe I won't use them. I guess my only question would be.....what is the purpose for them then? Why do some use them? http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/First_Aid Edited April 8, 2011 by meade95
metalcraze 290 Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) Huh, I didn't know this - Also, why can't I order my medic to "heal" other BluFor units that aren't under my command? I've noticed when doing a Combined Op with fellow BluFor units (AI units). I can't simply order my medic to heal other wounded BluFor AI units... I can order my medic to heal agonizing OpFor units while playing BluFor and he will do exactly what I told him. And I do use First Aid. (Unless something has changed in 1.59?) Now the real question is - why allied medics led by AI won't heal your guys if you are from a different squad? (It will be only logical if you are lying wounded and the friendly BluFor squad passes you by for an AI leader to order his medic to heal you.) Unless you will create a dedicated medic and give him a "support" waypoint (in that case anyone in BluFor will be able to use that medic) Edited April 8, 2011 by metalcraze
kireta21 13 Posted April 9, 2011 Well, guess it's because AI medic don't heal anyone without beign directly ordered to. Wounded soldier reports beign hurt only to his squad leader, so others leaders are not aware of it. So result is no healing request, no healing granted. metalcraze 290 Posted April 9, 2011 Would be nice to have a feature where AI leaders that have medics in their squad scan the limited area around them once in 5-10 seconds for wounded allies that don't have a medic assigned to their squad. That certainly wouldn't be resource heavy but quite realistic and provide for a better flow of a gameplay. Too bad knowing BIS something like this is probably going to be added only in ArmA4.
