I want some men of my squad to stay put and one man to stick with me.

I don’t want to give that man separate orders to move or fire.

Is there an order “You! Stick with me!†?

Yes - select the individual soldiers with their corresponding 'F' keys and press keypad '1' , '1' - 'Stay in formation' - your other men can be ordered to stay in one location again by selecting them by the F keys and simply pointing at clicking at where you want them to stay.

In this setting a soldier will generally do what you do and follow you.

Depending on what status they are in (Menu 7 Stealth, Danger, Aware, Safe) they will act in the manner that is most logical to their status.

Why not just select everyone with the tilde key (~), then disselect the one you want to come with you, then tell them 1,6 (movement orders, hault).

It's not the same thing as "stick with me" though, because he will keep his numbered position in the formation.

There should be a follow order, that would make the guy take the next free spot in the formation he is following. That way you could order guy 12 to follow you on guy 2's spot, while the rest wait back.

SPLITTING YOUR SQUAD

Select all 5 men and give a 'Stop' Order-

Select any man (in this case No.2) and give him a 'Regroup' (ie a 'stick with me') order

Run off and No.2 will stick with you like glue-

When you want to re-combine the squad, select everybody and order them to 'Regroup'-

And they'll come running up bless 'em-

Regrouped..:)

And now they'll all follow you again to the ends of the earth-

SUMMARY- To split a squad, firstly slap a 'Stop' order on everybody to root them to the ground.

Then select the guy(s) you want to take with you and hit 'Regroup' (ie 'stick with me'), and off you go.

To re-form the squad later, select everybody and hit 'Regroup'.
