eddieck 10 Posted April 14, 2011 Anyone else seeing a lot of players getting detected with wrong signatures on PMC PBOs? I myself had an issue with PMC - got a message that the addons were not signed. Removing and reinstalling PMC (through Steam) fixed it for me. There's been quite a few of our players that have played for awhile and I trust, in addition to some of our members and senior staff (who I also trust fully), that have gotten this. Dwarden 1125 Posted April 15, 2011 yes, if someone have issue with PMC or BAF DLC especially on STEAM i suggest simply this: remove from your OA directory in STEAM following directories \PMC\ \BAF\ and start either each DLC directly from STEAM games list or just OA (just OA may have issues with Fsecure or similar AV solutions) this will reinstall the DLC(s) and if no error happens on the process then You should be all fine
eddieck 10 Posted April 15, 2011 So basically any "wrong signatures" for BAF or PMC should be considered false positives? I know some hackers have probably tried sticking their hacks in BAF/PMC PBOs, so I really wish there was a better way.
Dwarden 1125 Posted April 16, 2011 i would not bother with wrong signatures for now, too many people may have messed theirs installs ... give time to sort theirs data first
Nilmerg 10 Posted May 1, 2011 Which option has the same effect as "equalModRequired=1"? 1 or 2? I guess 1, right? Or is "equalModRequired" usable furthermore? I am asking because I need to determine within my serverbrowser whether a server is requiring that every client runs the same modifications. By now I am referring to the "old" option (equalModRequired) and not to the new one. Should I refer to both or just to the new one? (When it is a OA 1.58+ server of course.) Dwarden 1125 Posted May 1, 2011 equalModRequired=1; is obsolete and deprecated use v2 signatures if you have all addons signed with them http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=118193
