tswords 10 Posted February 9, 2011 If someone can point me in the right direction (if there is one, cuz the search function didnt help me this time round) I know that the ACE MOD has the round T10 style parachutes for regular infantry. im tryin to make a mission for paratroopers WITHOUT the ACEMOD and the rectangular, ever so unstable unsteerable HALO style parachute is just bugging the sh*t out of me!!! is there a replacement pack somewhere? or an addon?? please help my OCD calm down thanks! Spartan 163 0 Posted February 10, 2011 (edited) Nope. Only ace has chutes you can steer. There is a script for ARMA1 that might work in ARMA2 that lets you halo and steer. Got to Armaholic and search under ARMA1 for HALO script. You can also post in correct forum section. This belongs in Mission edit/scripting as this has nothing to do with an addon your making or a new script. In the Mission edit/scripting section the right people will see it and might just hae the scipt you need for your mission already made. tswords 10 Posted February 10, 2011 its funny cuz this is a thread for discussing ideas or requests for addons. if you read my post (which it doesnt seem like you did) youd see that i was asking (another word for request) if anybody had a ROUND T-10C Style parachute addon or replacement pack for the non-steerable parachutes, if not then this would be an idea for an addon. im not asking for a script for a halo jump. read before you condescend. thanks. Nightrain 10 Posted February 10, 2011 Well here is an addon that enables the you to be given a steerable parachute when you eject. The only thing is upon landing your screen goes black for just a second while the parachute is released, other than that it is a god send. Here is the link: GDT Mod Parachute. First of all you posted in wrong section. Unless you were making an addon your post is a request and does not belong here. An idea for an addon that you are not making yourself is still a request. Also if you read my post ( which it seems you have not ) you will see that I sent you to Armaholic and that the search for halo script was so you can get what you needed from it. Not for you to add halo to your mission but to get the parachute part from it. Read before you condescend. As you can see from the other post here the response your getting is the same about the chutes. The way you made your post indicates that you wanted more control over the chutes. The answers you got solve the control issue. Take a bit more time and reword your post (also make sure it is in correct section ie adding request) and try again. Not mad at you. You need to take the time seeing that your new and learn how things are done here. Take your time and get a feel about things before you ridicule the people trying to help you as you obviously don't have the skills to help yourself. Thanks. Well it is now, even though I posted the solution to what you were looking for, minus the round parachute (its the steerable rectangular one). But obviousley that must just not be good enough for you. Feel free to make your own then.
