uglystranger 10 Posted February 5, 2011 Hey, i got a problem when aiming (ADS) when i use ironsights and likes it keeps popping back into normal view instantly. this does not happen often, but when it happens it keeps happening all the time. It often happens when i play a mission with lots of ai. sometimes i get it fixed by freeloking around a bit, but it does not always help. dmarkwick 261 Posted February 5, 2011 Strange, I get this too :) seems to have happened since a few weeks, as you say it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's annoying as you cannot use scopes or ironsights for as long as this behavior lasts, which can be from a few seconds to a few minutes. uglystranger 10 Posted February 5, 2011 Well it has happened with me a long time both on my old and my new computer, but i have just not bothered to scream for help since it happens very rarely. but i have just made this cool mission. and if i get the bug, they stay on that mission so now it is unplayable. dmarkwick 261 Posted February 5, 2011 Perhaps we can identify a possible addon before creating an official ticket. I've pretty much discounted both SLX and ACE2 as possible suspects, but the intermittent nature of the problem makes it difficult to pin down for sure. Do you run addons, if so which ones? uglystranger 10 Posted February 5, 2011 hm, i do use SLX and ace, but as you say i do not think they are the problem. I am not sure if i have encountered this problem with vanlila. i almost always use slx and recently begun to use ace to. i do not have the time to check with vannilla right now but if you do have the time go ahead. just pit lost of ai against eachother and see what happens. if it does not happen activate slx and/or ace. Gunter Severloh 4051 Posted February 7, 2011 I actually just noticed this last night in CO when I was testing out Gnats new plane, I made a new mission with a Russian rifleman on the ground and i went to ironsights and the iron sights wouldn't stay behind the sights. I thought it was my mouse getting old or something that make it *thinks* that I press the RMB twice or something... since I usually get it when I'm trying to hold breath (press and hold the RMB). But seeing this thread, it's maybe indeed a bug. When I think about it... it usually happens when there's alot of AI/big firefight/fps dropping a bit... Ignorance is a bliss eh? I guess that if any one of us can replicate this problem with no addons, then a ticket should be raised. Well there is the problem then, i am sure i have gotten it without addons, but i can not guarante it as i almost always use addons. and i am sure i could sit for days trying to replicate the issue, with or without addons, and never get it.
