jay9999 10 Posted February 4, 2011 This thing loads some missions fine, others stick after vote countdown ends. Im getting a Failed to load air_pmc.pbo decryptions of headers failed error on load, is this the cause? Heres the startup H:\arma2oa\arma2oaserver.exe -port=2302 -cfg=arma2oa.cfg -config=server.cfg -profiles=player -mod=H:\arma2oa\arma2;H:\arma2oa\EXPANSION;ca
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted February 5, 2011 Hello I think maybe this might your problem: -mod=H:\arma2oa\arma2;H:\arma2oa\EXPANSION;ca the folder lines\ seperating each file plus you have arma2oa listed twice in the line. what is arma2;H:? For example for my server I rent a gameserver from NFO, and this is the command line: -mod=arma2;expansion;ca and this runs Arma2 CO
jay9999 10 Posted February 5, 2011 theres nothing wrong with the command line, thats how they are written.
Taxman 10 Posted February 5, 2011 Surely jAY, you dont have to give the full path for the mod, is there a reason for this,, because gunter's is the same as most of the rest of us....
jay9999 10 Posted February 5, 2011 Im getting the same problem no matter what command line i use, even just double clicking server.exe gives me the same issues. domia loads warefare doesnt. all built in missions work, ive tried reinstalling everything from scratch, no luck. My server (&*ks up every time i buy an addon or patch comes out.
visceralsyn 10 Posted February 5, 2011 From the looks of your commandline, you've installed ArmA2 after you installed OA. Not sure if he has to use absolute path in his commandline because OA should be in ArmA2's Expansion folder. Since you state you've already re-installed, then one more should not hurt. Remove both ArmA2, then OA, then install ArmA2 first, do not patch, then install OA, then patch them both. You will then have 'Combined Operations', and would not need to add anything to commandline, except bonified mods. Not sure of the installation process for those with Steam. ...Syn... Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted February 6, 2011 Jay does your server work with combined Ops, or Arma2 alone? here are some links for you if you dont have them already for dedicated server setup and other info: ArmA: Dedicated Server http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Armed_Assault:Dedicated_Server server.cfg http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/server.cfg ArmA: Startup Parameters http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Startup_Parameters server.armaprofile http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/server.armaprofile
jay9999 10 Posted February 6, 2011 I guess i tracked it down to the addons, I reinstalled arma2, then OA, all combined op missions worked fine, till i install BAF and PMC then copy it all over to server and the problem comes back. Could that be related to the decryption of headers error?
mosh 0 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) My server (ACE server) command line looks like this... "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;c:\a\@cba;c:\a\@mma_xeh;c:\a\@ace;c:\a\@acex;c:\a\@duala181;c:\a\@fallujah;c:\a\@fdf_podagorsk;c:\a\@fran_quesh_kibrul;c:\a\@fran_sbrodj;c:\a\@lingor;c:\a\@mbg_celle;c:\a\@mbg_kellu;c:\a\@mma;c:\a\@namalsk;c:\a\@panthera;c:\a\@zeusai_ace" -port=2310 -config=default\server.cfg -cfg=default\Arma2.cfg -profiles=default -name=default The reason I have my addons in c:\a folder is because I run multiple servers on the same computer, not at the same time though... It is easier for me to have 5 different servers (all in there own separate folders) and just launch each one separately with a launcher. Why? The main reason is so I don't have to fuck with mission folders for different server setups (ACE, mods, islands, configs, specific server configs, etc), and so I don't have to put the same addon in multiple server folders, and of course I'm only updating one folder for addons. Updating all the server folders at once with patches is easy too, Allway Sync takes care of that. Anyways, just throwing that out there as to why some people may do things a little differently... it makes my life easier. You asked, there's an answer. :) As far as the original question goes, look in your server report, there has to be a clue why a mission isn't loading there. EDIT - Right after I posted, this was posted... I guess i tracked it down to the addons, I reinstalled arma2, then OA, all combined op missions worked fine, till i install BAF and PMC then copy it all over to server and the problem comes back. Could that be related to the decryption of headers error? You do not need to do this, that is your problem. Let your server run just lite versions of the DLC. visceralsyn 10 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) ...till i install BAF and PMC then copy it all over to server and the problem comes back. Some other thread mentions, do not install BAF and PMC for dedicated server. BAF-LITE, and PMC-LITE will both work with clients with the fulls, but the full expansions cause problems for the dedicated server. ...Syn... Taxman 10 Posted February 6, 2011 but the full expansions cause problems for the dedicated server....Syn... What problems ? Asking because im running full versions and as far as I know..theres no problems.. and execpt for paying for something I dont need I cant find any details on errors or problems that using full versions causes.... I did ask this in another thread and got zero answer... hoping you may know if you are stating there are problems.

I did ask this in another thread and got zero answer... hoping you may know if you are stating there are problems. I paid for DLC and BAF for my server as well, but it apparantly isn't needed. The problems occur when you try to run PMC and/or BAF full without having it fully installed... ie, you have to install the server and the 2 expansions as well vs my normal way of just having a dedicated server folder I can transfer from server to server without installing a thing (copy/paste). Other than that, I'm not aware of any problems with the actual server once it's running though.
Taxman 10 Posted February 6, 2011 So... fine while its running but if you want to move server or owt then its a case of full re-install... ?
mosh 0 Posted February 6, 2011 Yes it will run just fine with it installed as far as I could tell, I ran it like that for two months, but you can't transfer files to a different computer without a reinstall. With just Arma II/OA, I can copy those files to any computer I want and run a server without installing a thing.

Taxman 10 Posted February 6, 2011 Yep Visceral... I know I posted asking about the "why" in another thread that he stated the same thing but he didnt grace me with an answer...
mosh 0 Posted February 6, 2011 Yeah that's the thread I first learned that as well. I doubt it's a performance issue, as I had it installed on a PC that was server/gaming computer for a few months and had no problems. I bought enough keys for several computers, so that's not an issue either for me. Other than just what I've figured out on my own, a better explanation would be nice. :)
