Have you installed the latest drivers from logitech?

If so, you may want to install the default microsoft driver. That should work.

I've got the Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse combo, and they work fine with Microsoft drivers built into Win XP. I've never used the Logitech drivers on any logitech mouse I've ever had cause they map the buttons/wheel as 1/2/3 instead of the standard 1/3/2. MS Intellimouse drivers fix this problem...

When you download the drivers off Logitech.com, notice there's a second download underneath the driver that is a registry fix for the wheel. It allows the wheel to work in games better like in MoH and Jedi Outcast. You may want to try it to.

I install Logitech drivers and MouseWare. Then I go to the mouse properties. There's a page in the properties where you can select the functions for buttons. Set the wheel button as 3rd button (or as middle button?) and you should also set the wheel as MS compatible scrolling.

I hope I got the instructions right because I haven't changed the settings for a few months. I can check it today when I get home.

Ok, thanks. Following these steps, now the wheel-button work fine, but not the wheel. sad.gif

There are some other options for the weel scroll. Try to change the settings again. I've got it to work with a few different mice before so it should work when it's configured properly. There are some options like '3 row scrolling', '6 row scrolling', 'MS compatible scrolling' and such.

Of course I forgot to check the settings at home so I'm still not 100% percent sure what the wheel is supposed to be configured as. confused.gif

I too have a Logithech mouse (non optical, with a tail, but it got balls) and I don't know, but does OFP work with 3 button mice? Like the wheel works in OFP in selecting an action, but there is this thumb button that i'd like to use for switching from FPS to weapon/iron sights view. Right now, the only way is to make that thumb button act like a shift key, so I could switch to iron sights by pressing the shift key on the keyboard or press the thumb button on the mouse. I tried before to set up my controlls, and when I pressed that thumb button, nothing happened (it didn't show up as mouse button 3) I know that pressing the wheel is a button, but i'd really like to have the thumb button used for something. Any help would be much appreciated.

MouseWare's button configuring looks like this. (those are not probably working settings for OFP)

There you can see that you can configure the buttons.

I think I have the 'use Office 97 compatible scrolling only' ticked.

Or,  you could just install the MS drivers,  and not have to configure anything....  wink.gif

If you're using XP just connect the mouse and everything should work fine, don't bother with the logitech drivers. I got the cord version of your mouse. Bought it before the weekend and it worked flawless from the start.

Man, I'd never thought I could get used so fast to using the wheel. At work I'm already starting to feel uncomfortable with the standard mouse I got there.

Best thing in ofp is the quick access to and scrolling in the action menu with wheel and 3rd button.
