Hell in the Pacific MOD

I know, but I'm not sure if the animation has been set up in our model.

We already have a lot of reference, but if you have some blueprints it wouldn't hurt, I guess.

What we have now is something like the Bogue and Casablanca classes.

I have found these 2.uss_cve-9_bogue and www.the-blueprin.I als have if you want an 1/700 scale Essex class carrier.Tell me if you want any pics

Indeed we have. Maybe you should check out our developer blog at hellinthepacific.blogspot.com, we have screenshots of almost everything there.

The Zero will not be destroyed when you hit the fuel tank. It is already totally outclassed by the Hellcat, there is no need to make it even weaker (even if that might be realistic - but it's a game after all, isn't it? :))

For the japanese, maybe a TaiyÅ Class Escort carrier?

That would certainly be a good choice. Thanks for the tip. We will see what our ever-busy modellers come up with.

Again, in the end this will be decided by what our modellers like to do, but I guess the more reference material, the better.

That sentence should sum it up:

You are right I totally forgot about it.Now that you mentioned skilled pilots wouldnt be aweome if japanese pilots were better before 1943 and worse in 1943 and beyond?i don't know if this can happen though

Guys are you going to make carrier ops based only maps?Like the batle of coral sea or the battle of midway?Are you also going to be releasing more airplanes as time goes by?And will you make torpedo bombers?

I have a question.Let's say that you make a ship that was in the war from it's beginig to it's end or most of the war(for example USS Enterprise)and during this time it had received some updates will this ship have 2 or 3 versions or only 1?I am not talking about minor updates but important such as guns,big parts of the outerior such as new flight deck and torpedo blisters,not really having an effect just making the ship cooler:confused::cool:

Yes, I am working on a 'North Pacific' map with Wake, Midway, Ford & Johnston Island. It will not be finished in time for the first release, but included anyway as at least parts are playable already.

Yes, I heard some rumors that more planes might make it into the mod, including a torpedo bomber.

I think we will be lucky if we have a single well-made carrier. But we will see.

I am sure that you are gonna do an excellent job.In the map that you mentioned "North pacifc"all the islands will have distance difference from each other?!:cool:.Will there be some type of heavy bomber so that you can laucnh it from islands like wake and midway?Peleliu's airfield will be cratered or you are gonna be able to launch airplanes from when you capture it?And don't worry about the carriers.From what I understand you are gonna give us a lot of stuff to play and experiment with that is gonna keep us busy for a while in the first release.And you should know that not all mods are well done but we still use them.Not that you aren't gonna do an excellent job.Everybody knows that your mod is gonna be great before even released because we all in this thread see your hard work and how you want to make things fuctioning and beautiful at the same time.We all see your attention to detail and we all wait for this mod.;)

I thought of something.You could add Destroyer Escorts.Which are pretty much like destroyers but withe less guns and smaller in size combining this with an escort carrier and destroyers you would have the ultimate force for supporting the marines also if you release leyte this would help create Taffy 3 and reanact the famous battle that took place.

I hope that I don't get a warning for this and i don't want to put presure on the team of HIP but will I be playing HIP in my Xmas holidays after the 3 hellish months of school?

Stop asking for release dates! That is considered spamming and we hate spam here.

Will there be a cratering system.So when airplanes drob bombs on runways for example create craters and make them useless or when ships bombart the shore and other parts of the islands craters will be formed which will also give the ability to the men on the ground to use them as cover?

I don't think so, islands are already pretty much bombed and got already craters.

But in any case the best choice to know everything it's wait.

Please we are already busy with the mod, we can't stay there on the forum for answer all your kinda of questions.

I have a question about something, With the jeeps, will there be a feature that allows players to un-flip a jeep? Thats one thing about the I44 mod that I felt was missing.

Let's say that waxbutter fixed all the rocks and now flip the jeep or tank it's very hard or almost impossible, but for the rally drivers the kurogane made by gachopin got that feature :D
