Tonci87 163 Posted December 14, 2010 If there is not enough armor on that thing, then it isn´t really suitable for CQB. So it doesn´t really make sense any more
SteveJA 12 Posted December 16, 2010 In videogames they have robots running and jumping and doing all kinds of complicated interactions with their non-uniform surroundings. In real life, the cutting edge of robot technology in terms of viewing its surroundings and walking on an uneven surface is a robot that can negotiate stairs under some very limited test circumstances at a very slow pace. Go on youtube and type "Big Dog Robot" It is incredible what they've managed to do.
max power 21 Posted December 16, 2010 I've seen it. When it's just walking around without a care in the world, it's pretty good. When it's planning a path, it's very, very slow.

krycek 349 Posted December 23, 2010 I don't see the use of huge mechs, they're clumsy and slow besides it screams "target me" all over. Instead an small mech like 3 meters could be usefull in supporting infantry and to carry the heavy guns in a squad.Like the REV6 in Fear http://fear.wikia.com/wiki/Replica_REV6_Powered_Armor
