Wass 1 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) The largest and oldest OFP and other military games produced by Bohemia Interactive related source in Russia - Flashpoint.ru launches a pre-new-year contest for the ArmA 2 fans community!The winner of each nomination will be awarded with an official CD-key and distributive of the full version DLC for ArmA 2 — Private Military Company and the honorable Flashpoint.ru contest winner rank! The competition is around those nominations: Best single mission Best multiplayer mission Best ingame screenshot Best ingame video The deadline is on December 20 2010. The results will be announced on December 25 2010, the winners will be awarded before the upcoming New year! If the winners will request it, the works will be translated on english and uploaded on the Western community with the "flashpoint.ru contest winner" sign. The winner will be chosen by qualified juries - the administration and the organizers. Also, there will be an open voting for the winner for the community sympathy nominations among the community. The participant can't be awarded in more then one nominations. If a participant will get first place in more then one nomination, he can chose in which nomination he will be awarded. In the other nominations there will be awarded the second place participants. Participants are allowed to the contest after registration on Flashpoint.ru and signed the form in the topic on our forum. Rules of the contest: For the "Best single mission" nomination: 1. To the contest are allowed missions, created by the nominees after the date this contest started. 2. There are acceptable missions for ArmA2, ArmA2-OA, ArmA2-CO, "British Armed Forces" DLC is also allowed. 3. It's allowed and encouraged the usage of other add-ons, in a reasonable amount. The usage of full-scale game modifications are allowed with the condition, signed in p.4 of the rules. 4. The usage of full-scale game modifications, which make effect on the gameplay (like ACE2, SLX, 6th) are allowed and encouraged only in the condition the author will be able to create a required balance, a certain storyline, a special game way. Using such modifications only for showing new units, weapons or other functions not important for the storyline in the gameplay, is not allowed. However, it's allowed to use other add-ons of weapons, vehicles etc. 5. Usage of large modifications, implanting new teams, places, historical situations (like CSLA, Project 85, Invasion 44) - has no limits, is encouraged and regulated by the p.3 of the rules. 6. There are no any special requirements for the scenario. There are accepted not only military missions, but also fantasy, quest, adventures, racing etc. There is required: Briefing with certain tasks Readable orthography Overview of the mission with a simple description and a picture for ingame list. A soundtrack and other audio (like voicing etc) is very welcome, but it's up to author's decission. The awarded mission can be audio casted by experienced members of the community for uploading on the flashpoint.ru and on other sites of the world community. 7. Application is given with those forms: Name of the mission Nomination Side Place of action Overview Mission picture Required add-ons with links Link for mission download 8. The missions can be uploaded on the flashpoint.ru site, and the awarded mission will be uploaded with announcement. 9. Allowed mission languages - russian, english. The application must be published in this topic For the "Best multiplayer mission" nomination: 1. To the contest are allowed multiplayer missions, created by the nominees after the date this contest started. 2. There are acceptable missions for ArmA2, ArmA2-OA, ArmA2-CO, "British Armed Forces" DLC is also allowed. 3. It's not allowed the usage of other add-ons, except the full-scale game modifications, with the conditions, signed in p.4-6 of the rules. 4. The usage of full-scale game modifications, which make effect on the gameplay (like ACE2, SLX, 6th) are allowed and encouraged only in the condition the author will be able to create a required balance, a certain storyline, a special game way. Regarding to means of usability and gameplay for the gamers, in this nomination are more welcome missions, created without add-ons or modifications. If any modification is used, it must be included at least on one game server, where games with it are being held regularly. If there are no such game servers, but the mission uses a modification with the conditions in the p.5, the jures will decide about it, depending on the possibility of such servers appearing in the future. 7. There are no any requirements for the genre of the missions - there are allowed COOP, PvP, TvT, CTI, C&H missions. But they must have a properly created briefing with tasks. 8. Application is given with those forms: Name of the mission Nomination Type of the MP-mission Place of action Overview Mission picture Required add-ons with links Link for mission download 8. The missions can be uploaded on the flashpoint.ru site, and the awarded mission will be uploaded with announcement. 9. Allowed mission languages - russian, english. The application must be published in this topic It's supposed, that missions created for the contest, are running on the last actual ArmA2 version, add-ons and modifications. Pay attention to it when creating and testing! For the "Best ingame screenshot" nomination: 1. To the contest are allowed screenshots and screen-arts from ArmA2, ArmA2-OA, ArmA2-CO, created by the nominees after the date this contest started. 2. There is no limits for using any add-on or modification. If such is used, it must be signed in the annotation. 3. Any scenario is welcome. 4. The maximum pixel amount of the fully uploaded screenshots - 1000 pixels in any measurement, the maximum size - 600 kb. 5. The maximal size and weight of the picture, uploaded in miniature version has no limits, if in the post there is noted the size. 6. It's allowed to use graphic editors in logical amounts. The application must be published in this topic For the "Best ingame video" nomination: 1. To the contest are allowed videos from ArmA2, ArmA2-OA, ArmA2-CO, created by the nominees after the date this contest started. 2. There is no limits for using any add-on or modification. If such is used, it must be signed in the annotation. 3. Any scenario is welcome. 4. The video is uploaded via a link on YouTube. 5. After effects are allowed in logical limits.
