Ulanthorn 10 Posted December 6, 2010 I don't think there really is an aim assist. I've played in MP and a friend kept shooting at me with his PKM. I actually saw the tracer rounds zipping past my helmet.Auto aim is optional and it is only availiable in the lower difficulty.
maturin 12 Posted December 6, 2010 And the hit boxes are quite accurate. They extend no more than an inch outside the body at worst (real problem is no support for glancing hits that I know off) and weapons and backpacks are accurately modeled.
Richey79 10 Posted December 6, 2010 I'm glad bullets actually go where you aim them in this game. If the long-distance stuff seems too easy in SP, then design your stuff in the editor so you put in fewer weapons with optics. In MP, the warping AI makes everything hard to hit past 200 metres, lol. Compare with the original Brothers In Arms. Yes, you can use the argument that these guys were exhausted/under massive stress/had undertaken an extremely difficult para-drop, but it's just not a satisfying game mechanic to have bullets fly way off target when you have a clearly had a bead on the enemy's head. Gunnarmarine 10 Posted December 7, 2010 Not without ACE 2, anyway. Last mission I played I didn't have earplugs to go with my PKM and the damn thing was making me choose between suppressive fire and deafness. yeah...:( my hearing in real life is pretty bad now hahaha.
