DLC suggestion

I would like to see the contend from Arma 2 in OA

Atleast all the units and weapons.

I just would like to see something like a massive collection of weapons and units.

What i miss most in OA are all those major aircraft like F14,F15,F16,F18,F22 just like most SU and MIG variants. Even the traditonal choppers like KA-52 Hokum are sadly missing. I know it's a different conflict but for me i like as much content regarding weapons and units as there can be to please my heart with my own mission designs and or warfare.

I would also like to see a navy shaping up with carriers, destroyers,battleships uboot's etc. It would be really nice to start on a carrier and doing some CAP,CAS or whatever. Multi Island warfare.

To put it short. Every side should be extended to their full military potential and in the future additional sides should be added the same way :D

If you would grant me one wish than please don't make another standalone but continue to keep adding DLC's for OA. I'll gladly buy all that comes. Having as much contend in one game is better than having it splitt between multiple games (even if they are nearly the same)

Errr what ?

(1) VBS2 isn't a game but a military simulation for military training.

(2) Most of the content is already available in Arma2 or free through addons as usual thanks to the community.

You have to play on a server that has combined operations missions (aka using both game's content).

I know Warfare BE has a combined operations version and as does my warfare (link in signature).

Yes they are. with ArmA CO you can use all ArmA units and weapons in OA when creating missions.

except some bugs caused by last patch :/

i must check in free time, but seems that some textures from Arma2 were retagged and when you build vehicle using it in Arma2 , and it was okay in Arma2, when you will launch OA (or CO) you will have no-textures error

animations are screwed etc.

problem is in lack of backward compatibility and some good working in A2 addons, in OA make ctd

Doesn't sounds like you actually have CO. CO is ArmA2 + Arrowhead, so saying you have CO and ArmA2 is kinda strange.

I had arma 2 retail and now bought combined operation on steam where you have both arma 2 and operation arrowhead in your game list but unless i missed a point its just 2 games seperate.Either play one or the other but i'd like to have arma 2 units in OA because of the better engine.

I don't know about steam but i have A2 and OA both as DVD version and there, when installing OA after A2, it automatically includes A2, forming Combined Operations.

Yeah just found out..was very much blind.theres an option in Operation Arrowhead in steam to start combined operations IF you have both installed in steam. That really did the trick :D

That reduces my wishlist for DLC to just have a proper navy and additional countries :)
