lazerath 10 Posted November 23, 2010 It does but I personally have not seen much of a performance increase. My specs are xfx nforce 680i LT SLI Q6600 O'C 3.2ghz 6 gb ram 2x Nvidia 260GTX 216core (overclocked) Win 7 64 Home Premium TrackIR
recon 7185 10 Posted November 29, 2010 Ye me either. I know my sli is working correctly based on vantage scores of similar systems and scaling in modern games i play. Guess arma doesnt scale well
[frl]myke 14 Posted November 29, 2010 Ye me either. I know my sli is working correctly based on vantage scores of similar systems and scaling in modern games i play. Guess arma doesnt scale well ArmA 2 is more CPU demanding than GPU. So indeed, SLI/CrossFire doesn't help much here. Only thing to profit from, you probably can run higher AA settings and/or 3D Resolution than with a single card.
bangtail 0 Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) It helps plenty depending on the situation in game. The only scenario where it yields limited returns is in heavily built up areas (cities for example) and that has everything to do with buildings in ArmA 2 and nothing to do with SLI. It can effectively double your FPS outside of that particular scenario. Edited November 30, 2010 by BangTail
vohk 10 Posted November 29, 2010 Can't speak for SLi, but Crossfire does plenty for me. All depends on where the bottleneck is in a particular situation.

Agreed, around foliage SLI makes a huge difference to FPS (nearly double for me), but add some CPU violating buildings or lots of AI and all that advantage quickly disappears.
