Fox Mulder 0 Posted December 17, 2001 I can use 3DS Max R4.2 at work and after i read your post i tried to import a .p3d file in max, but it doesn't work because there is no suitable import module for this file format. So my question is which import module did you use for .p3d files ? Or did you find any way to convert the .p3d format in any importable format ? Fox
uzabit 38 Posted December 17, 2001 Is this really true? This would be great!! Perhaps there's no need for an SDK anymore! (Edited by Uzabit at 3:42 pm on Dec. 17, 2001)

Fox Mulder 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Hmmm i'm not so happy right now because i don't know how to import ofp models in 3dsmax/gmax because there is no standard plugin which can handle .p3d files at the moment. So my question again to quakergamer: How did you import .p3d files in max or better which import plugin did you use for it ? Fox
King Kong 0 Posted December 17, 2001 Converting new models is inpossible, tryed it with Gmax and 3ds max r4. I have a crapload of MP5 models also an FN MAG wich i made year ago for some other mod. When i try to convert my model and make a .pbo of it OFP crashes. And the p3d file is not cracked, cracking a p3d would take ages. Tribes uses .p3d files too(wich are made with Painter3d or something), Gmax doesn't supports OFP. So it's pretty much useless Kong

KingBeast 0 Posted December 17, 2001 It is a case of somehow opening up the existing models, editing them and putting them back in. Not creating from scratch
Fox Mulder 0 Posted December 17, 2001 King Kong could you post a link to an max r4.x p3d import plugin (or max r3.x) ? I could only find export plugins which doesn't allow import of it. Fox
