cklynx 10 Posted October 11, 2010 I bought Arma 2 last year and had it installed, though a few months ago i had to reinstall Windows 7. Ive just came back to reinstall Arma and i have lost the manual! At the moment, all i have is the disk & the case. Ive searched everywhere for it but i think it has accidently been thrown away. I dont have proof of purchase for obviouse reasons (bought it last year). Is there a way i can get a new cd-key if i can prove i actually have the retail game & case? Please dont tell me i am going to have to buy another copy just for a cdkey because if that is the case its not going to happen. Thanks
W0lle 1052 Posted October 11, 2010 Contact your local publisher, they are responsible for such an issue. But I doubt they will help you out with no proof of purchase. So yes, the only (and fastest) way is to buy another copy. Today you can get A2 and the Expansion for the price you paid for A2 alone back then.
cklynx 10 Posted October 11, 2010 But that means paying out more money, I shouldnt have to rebuy to game as i already paid for it and have it right here im just missing the key.
[frl]myke 15 Posted October 11, 2010 As W0lle already said, contact the publisher of your region. Maybe he will agree that he will send you a new full copy including booklet (and therefor key) if you send him your DVD and box first. And finally, youreself are responsable what happens to your key. So if you threw it away it is not the publishers fault nor BIS fault.

Oh and also im from the UK a little stupid...but not really...kidding No, what Wolle has mentioned is that you´ve should try to contact 505 Games which is responsible for your country to publish the game. Thats what a publisher called. What you´re talking about is just the shop you bought it. Edited October 11, 2010 by MemphisBelle
mr burns 133 Posted October 11, 2010 Back in the day when games still had beefy manuals (the ones that were actually worth reading) there was usually some mumbo jumbo about getting your broken CD´s replaced with a discount by the publisher if you can prove you´ve legally bought the product - i´d assume the same applies for cd keys, only if the publisher offers this service of course.
