andromedagalaxe 10 Posted September 10, 2010 Searched and couldn't find the answer. I usually use chat channels when playing MP, but someone came on and asked if I had teamspeak and said I don't need to have a mic, but should get it to properly play in MP. I play with headphones but don't have a mic. If that's the case, do I still have to configure TS using the addresses that are specific to each server or can I just get it and I'm good to go? celery 8 Posted September 10, 2010 You install the program, add the clan's server into the server list (address and possible password) and connect to it.
heklos 0 Posted September 10, 2010 You will just hear folks on TS, but will not be able to reply by voice.
terox 316 Posted September 10, 2010 (edited) You will find more enjoyment playing on a server if you are on their comms server than just using voip. Be it Teamspeak, Mumble or ventrilo. Even if you can just listen to what the players are saying to one n other. Most servers run one of those apps, and in doing so reduce the use of voip a lot. All of these applications are free, each server will use their preferred choice of apps, so you ideallyu need to get familiar with all 3, if you are not likely to stick with one serverwhat they consider to be their . If you want to look at a tutorial for setting up teamspeak 3, look at the zeus community manual linked to in my signature. the only difference between that and other TS3 servers is the IP address. It also has a tutorial on how to set up Channel commander which may be of use to you. Edited September 10, 2010 by Terox
