Laukhan 10 Posted February 17, 2011 Hi,Sanc How to replace west soliders model with ww4 marine model? thx
sanctuary 19 Posted February 17, 2011 ww4 marines model names : marsold.p3d marsnip.p3d maroff.p3d are found in the ww4_trp.pbo So by example for the basic west rifleman , look for class SoldierWB:Soldier then in this class, replace the line model="\ww4_rpl\wesoldier.p3d"; by model="\ww4_trp\marsold.p3d"; Do the same for other soldier classes you want to replace. EliasComando 10 Posted February 22, 2011 hey sanctuary I have a question I want to edit the American soldiers of the HYK US soldiers how I can change the hands, change the model of BIS a to that used the FFUR modification? in advance thank you very much :) :D :bounce3:
sanctuary 19 Posted February 22, 2011 To change the hands of a model, you need to use O2. I don't remember if you said you know how to use O2, in case you don't know i can only suggest you read a bit some tutorials about it, tutorials like these ones to understand the interface and how it works. (to install O2, see this) To replace the hands, Select the hands of a soldier, press CTRL+C (to copy) , then load the soldier you want to edit, delete his hands and press CTRL+V to paste the hands you copied. Do that for each corresponding resolution lods and the pilot view lod. There should be no selection problem, as every models in OFP should use the same named selections for the hands you should not have to edit them.
EliasComando 10 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) install it all fine but when I open the model file I get a message saying: unable to load file error set it all to the smallest detail but I look a the error I can do please help me any solution  :( PD if you can give some solution in spanish would be better for me Edited February 22, 2011 by Sgt. Elias Pinto
sanctuary 19 Posted February 22, 2011 I don't talk spanish good enough to explain anything unfortunately. The error message is because you are trying to open an ODOL version of a p3d. There are 2 kind of P3D models for OFP -ODOL P3D are binarized version of the model (using the binarize tool from BIS), you can't open them with O2. -MLOD P3D are version you can open with O2, they are not binarized. If you have no MLOD version of the P3D you're trying to open, try to use ODOL Explorer to convert the ODOL P3D into a MLOD P3D. But ODOL Explorer (look for it on ofp.info) create unfortunately some errors during the conversion with the selections becoming wrong in some lods.

EliasComando 10 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) 1 I edit the models but is disfigured when I start the game 2 if you can edit the models and me upload the models in a file? in advance thank you very much Edited February 23, 2011 by Sgt. sanctuary 19 Posted February 23, 2011 The model being disfigured means that the selections have been damaged by ODOL Explorer conversion. It can take lot of time to fix that, but it should not be complicated. here is the panel in which every named selections are : Select them one by one To fix them, select each of them one by one , and for each of them, press CTRL and left click on an empty zone of the panel that display the model wireframe. Then right click on the selection you have selected and select "Redefine". Do this for every lods. By example If i select the selection "osobnost" There i can see already there's something very wrong (osobnost is only to be used for the head, to assign face textures) as in red we see all the proxies are selected too. So i CTRL+left click on that empty area : After i click, it does this : Now i right click on "osobnost" and select "Redefine". Do the same for every selections, for every of the resolution lods. Hopefully it should be enough to fix the model you converted with ODOL Explorer.

To replace weapons models, you'll have to look into the config of STGN pbo, copy the line model=.....; In the place of the line model=.....; in the ww4 .\bin\config.cpp corresponding to the weapon you want to replace. Hi,Sanc,I wonder if you could tell me whether default weapons can be replaced with rifles in LSR_US weapons pack and I also want to know how to replace Bizon in official campaign by VSS in ww4mod21. thx in advance. By the way ,ww4mod is one of the best mods I've ever seen. doing the line model=..... replacement from LSR configs into the .\bin\config.cpp of the ww4 should allow you to replace default weapons To replace the bizon in the official campaign, you'll have to either : -edit the campaign files manually, find the mission inside that have the bizon, and replace it with the VSS, the class names for both weapon and magazines are included in the mod docs. -make a copy of the file named from .\Res\AddOns and paste it into the ww4 mode own addon directory. Open that file, edit the config (i don't remember if it is in .bin format inside of the pbo, so you may need BINVIEW, from OFP.info to convert it first to .cpp) and replace the model=..... line by model="\ww4_wpn\ww4_VSS.p3d"; You may too want to replace the line modelOptics = ...... by (or if it's not there, just add the following) modelOptics = "\ww4_wpn\mi\optika_snpiere_sd.p3d"; And it should work. Macser_old 0 Posted February 27, 2011 Of course you can do it. :) Not too long ago someone else did it.The only difference being that they wanted the WW4 weapons to replace the defaults. Vultar's WW4 default weapon replacement. And there's a discussion on the subject that took place in this very thread. It started here. If you just want a quick mess around, you can simply change the soldiers default loadouts. Or as Sanctuary suggested,if you just wanted to change the look of the weapon, then all you need to do is edit the lines he quoted. Replacing the default models with the ones you'd like to see. If you want a more broad ranging change, then you'll need to do what Vultar has done. Namely change the base magazines for the weapons,as well as the models. If we're not spelling it out for you step by step,it's because it's been done many times before. The info you want is definitely available on these forums. So do some research on the subject before you start. And good luck.

Laukhan 10 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) For those who want to replace default weapons with ww4mod's or any other addons'.All contents like models,mags,sounds ,etc you can find in mods' or addons' Config.cpp. This is a example of replacement for HK MP5 and M21 sniper rifle which are BI default weapons replaced with M4 Aim from LSR_US weapons pack and SR25SD from ww4mod21.But these two addons'characters are combined in editting Config. haha class HK : Riffle { scopeWeapon=2; dexterity=2; scopeMagazine=2; model="\LSR_uswp\m4\lsr_m4_sopmod_sd_aim.p3d"; modelOptics="\LSR_uswp\opt\opt_aimpoint_sd.p3d"; reloadMagazineSound[]={"\WW4_Sounds\sounds\M4Reload.wss",0.010316,1}; displayName="M4 Aimpoint-SD"; displayNameMagazine="5.56 SD Mag"; shortNameMagazine="5.56 SD Mag"; drySound[]={"\WW4_Sounds\sounds\Dry.wss",0.010316,1}; optics=1; opticsZoomMin=0.330; opticsZoomMax=0.330; valueWeapon=1000; valueMagazine=1000; initSpeed=744; // supersonic ammo - old values preserved in subsonic mags below; magazines[]={"HK","WW4_W556_30SDmag","WW4_W556_30SDHDmag"}; modes[]={"Single","FullAuto"}; class Single { ammo=WW4_West_556x45_Silenced_Single_Bullet; multiplier=1; burst=1; displayName="5.56 Semi SD"; dispersion=0.0002000; sound[]={"\JAM_Sounds\sounds\M4FireSD.wss",db0,1}; soundContinuous=0; reloadTime=0.075; ffCount=1; recoil="WW4_556x45_RifleRecoil"; autoFire=0; aiRateOfFire=0.850000; aiRateOfFireDistance=500; useAction=0; useActionTitle=""; }; class FullAuto { ammo=WW4_West_556x45_Silenced_Auto_Bullet; multiplier=1; burst=1; displayName="5.56 Auto SD"; dispersion=0.0008; sound[]={"\JAM_Sounds\sounds\M4FireSD.wss",db0,1}; soundContinuous=0; reloadTime=0.075; ffCount=30; recoil="WW4_556x45_RifleRecoil"; autoFire=1; aiRateOfFire=0.850000; aiRateOfFireDistance=500; useAction=0; useActionTitle=""; }; }; class M21 : SniperRiffle { scopeWeapon=2; scopeMagazine=2; model="\LSR_uswp\sr25\LSR_SR25_sd.p3d"; modelOptics="\ww4_wpn\mi\optika_snpierw_sd.p3d"; count=20; initspeed=768; maxLeadSpeed=80; reloadMagazineSound[]={"\WW4_Sounds\sounds\M14Reload.wss",0.010316,1}; magazines[] ={"M21","WW4_W762Sniper_20SDmag","WW4_W762Sniper_20SDHDmag"}; opticsZoomMin=0.04; opticsZoomMax=0.12; distanceZoomMin=400; distanceZoomMax=80; displayName="SR25SD"; displayNameMagazine="7.62x51 SD Mag"; shortNameMagazine="7.62x51 SD Mag"; ammo=WW4_West_762x51_Silenced_Sniper_Single_Bullet; multiplier=1; burst=1; soundContinuous= 0; sound[]={"\WW4_Sounds\sounds\M14FireSD.wss",0.0003162,1}; ffCount=1; dispersion=0.0000684; reloadTime=0.100000; autofire=0; aiRateOfFire=5.0000; aiRateOfFireDistance = 500; UseAction=0; useActionTitle=""; recoil=WW4_762x51_RifleRecoil; }; Finally ,I wanna say ofp will never die.
