Archamedes 10 Posted August 27, 2010 as i just got OA and now have to update all my addons and download new ones, is it possible to add multiple addons from the same author into one folder? for instance rather than having @ukweapons @uklandrover @ukforces @ukbits say all the above is made by the same person, cant we just put all the pbos into just one folder so it looks tidier, for example @UKeverything Or will it not work? rexehuk 16 Posted August 27, 2010 Should be fine, I do it for the RKSL stuff all the time.
STALKERGB 6 Posted August 27, 2010 Yeah all my UK stuff goes into an @Brit folder, and I have one for Islands, sounds, vehicles, aircraft etc..
Drumheller 19 Posted August 27, 2010 I used to put all my islands in one folder... Somehow they conflict with eachother. But other than islands I have everything in groups. Weapons packs, model packs, yes the UKSF brit packs, etc.
Archamedes 10 Posted August 27, 2010 excellent thanks for that.
mrcash2009 0 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) The only thing to bear in mind is the mod priority, so if a mod needs priority (load first over the next) before the next then make sure they are separate folders to line them up .. highest first, not needed priority last .. so maps, units, weapons and such set last but mods like CBA etc first in their own folder, and ace etc / soundmods. I also put islands mainly in 1 maps folder, and units and those type of things. The realism mod sticky http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=96591 is good to explain (scroll to "1.2 Purpose and aims of this Add-On Guide) this in the first section about mod order, again its not what your were asing about but makes it clearer what to bundle in one folder and what to keep separate.
