ryguy 10 Posted July 25, 2010 OK I searched around and didn't see anything like this so here's the idea behind this: If you want to set up a gamespy mission/Coop/PvP but nobody is joining your session fast enough, post up here to organize informal game play. This should work out so that people post the name of the session/mission and other post if they're joining. Good idea?
Jelliz 10 Posted July 25, 2010 Good idea, why not post this in the multiplayer section?
ryguy 10 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) Gah, maybe an admin could move it... Currently have a session up. Playing Coop Oi! an Ambush. Session name, filter serverz Edited July 25, 2010 by ryguy
celery 8 Posted July 25, 2010 The Casual ArmA Players forum group is just for that: http://forums.bistudio.com/group.php?groupid=
ryguy 10 Posted July 25, 2010 Hmm... that looks like a group with a bunch of threads, this would just be a simple "post-up if you want to play a game right now for some fun." Whenever I try hosting a session nobody join so this should be somewhat handy :)
Scrub 0 Posted July 25, 2010 So... are you playing? I'm up for a game. :)

Scrub 0 Posted July 25, 2010 Hey, just thinking here. There is no tool for seeing the demand of players for a type of game in the server browser. BIS, could you put up a roster/poll/table of some sort here in the forums for people looking for a game? Just looking at the server list and not wanting to enter a game with one player, I thought 'Hmmm. how many others are staring at this same list this very instant?" There's no public place to organize a game or a group in real time. Want to bring this forum to life? Up at the top have a banner listing people looking for a type or game, inside the type, show groups sorted by their location (USA, Europe, Australia) and allow people to suggest a server... If GameSpy could do the same thing inside the server browser, you would see MANY more people inside the servers. This game is like no other, it is unique, and needs a unique system. In COD you can just pick up and run in a game, ArmA takes organization and effort, people coming in and dropping out shakes things up more than anything, and makes the experience not 'worth it'. Getting a good group in clean is a very good start. What say you?

-)rStrangelove 0 Posted August 24, 2010 How about a Steam / Xfire / ICQ / MSN channel for scheduling quick missions?
ryguy 10 Posted August 25, 2010 Yea, except you don't have the possibility of having 100+ people seeing the thread. Besides, I don't have any friends that play arma 2 on Xfire.
