Baldman 10 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Any plans to fix the ranks? I don't know why but playing with 4 Majors and 6 Captains in a squad really irks me :). Other than that, fantastic. I played with ACE2 and the campaign was a very different beast indeed. Far more difficult and required alot of force maneuvering to succeed. nettrucker 142 Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) Hi Specialist I finally had a complete weekend free and was finally able to play your amazing campaign, which I liked a lot. Had tons of fun playing it. Great job. My only gripe is, that there are only few intro - outro cinematics, which in my opinion would make this campaign perfect. Story telling is an important part of a campaign. Well that's just my opinion naturally. The voice acting by Archamedes is great. Mission "Betrayal" was a blast. it took me some time to take out the BMP and the APC. I approached every mission very carefully without losing a man. Hate to lose men when I'm in command.:D In any case a really well done campaign. Keep up the good work and I sincerely hope you will add some intro's - outro's which in my opinion would definitely raise the quality of this already well done campaign.:D kind regards p.s. Hope to see more. Had just one error message popping up in the briefing screen, related to the pic in the mission where you have to locate the ammo box and destroy it. Just saw the new version 1.2 Well I've played version 1.0 my bad. Edited March 6, 2011 by nettrucker
martyc 10 Posted October 6, 2011 Hi Specialist Excellent work on the campaign; really enjoyed playing it through with OA Vanilla (Veteran diff) had no major glitches or bugs. Excellent implementation of the First Aid feature, campaign would have been extremely difficult to complete without it. Agree with Nettrucker with regards to the story telling aspects, and the briefings were a bit light on details, although I understand how time consuming cinematics are to design and implement so totally understandable. If I had to suggest improvements (and because this is an internet forum it's practically a duty to do so :) for future missions / campaigns consider mixing it up a bit, I felt that each mission involved some variation of a mounted patrol to contact followed by a village clearance. Consider adding the odd defensive scenario or an ambush to vary the player's experience. Ambushing has been one of the best features since OFP but it seems to have fallen by the way side in recent years - probably because it involves planning and *gasp* patience to pull off a really tidy ambush. Plus as a mission maker ambush scenarios are pretty quick and easy to script compared to other offensive operations with lots of moving parts. (-- End tangent) Also, consider some tweaks to friendly AI; some small adjustments can produce big results in terms of the "feel" of your mission. For example in the final mission you could assign waypoints to the other AI squads based on the player's position rather than a destination. That way the friendly AI squads will move with the player's squad giving the impression that you are part of a platoon or company assault, rather than just watching the friendly AI squads getting fed piecemeal into the death trap that is Zargabad. Anyways, excellent work on the campaign, I reckon you've made one of the best community made campaigns out there and I hope we get more from you at some stage. _marty
domokun 515 Posted February 23, 2012 Played this last night and although I enjoyed it I got stuck on the Village Patrol. Despite driving around for over an hour, only 1 of the 5 villages showed as being "secured" (grey circle next to the task became green). Any ideas why I couldn't secure the other 4 villages? Oh and I'm using Robalo's ASR AI mod and DAP's First Aid mod.

Oh and I'm using Robalo's ASR AI mod and DAP's First Aid mod. I used DAP's mod too, and sometimes I had problems with enemies that were considered as dead by my teammates and didn't show up in the map, but they were still alive although wounded and the game didn't mark that task as accomplished. Don't know if that's the cause...but it's not a bad guess. Did you have problems also in other missions?
Specialist 10 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) Hello everyone, thanks for downloading my campaign and thanks for all of the positive comments and constructive feedback. I have been away for about two years so it will take a while to get back used to things, anyway, I will be releasing an update in the near future to iron out any little creases. If you have anything you would like fixed/changed/added please let me know. Update version 1.3 - Work In Progress just finnished this campaign. :)and i loved every single mission of it specialy the last one was tuff (realy had a hard time getting to the objective, only 6 of 10 made it). wil there be a second Episode ?? Thanks alot! I don't have any plans to start making new campaigns from scratch for Arma 2 as I will be focusing more on Arma 3 :) Dunno what's going on, but in first mission some of my guys get injured. Everytime I administer first aid to one, they die! I'm not sure, are you using any mods? Any plans to fix the ranks?I don't know why but playing with 4 Majors and 6 Captains in a squad really irks me :). Other than that, fantastic. Yes, I will be fixing the ranks in the next update :) Hi SpecialistI finally had a complete weekend free and was finally able to play your amazing campaign, which I liked a lot. I agree with you about having a variety of different tasks/scenarios in a campaign to mix things up abit, I've learned quite a bit about editing since first creating this campaign and I will put that knowledge to good use when working on my next project. Thanks alot for playing and providing feedback :) Played this last night and although I enjoyed it I got stuck on the Village Patrol.
