Hi All, I am wondering if someones working on implementing functioning VR within arma. I like arma how it is, but since 2001 there really hasn't been any changes to the game. After trying the free weekend of Onward i need to say that if this was re-done in arma 3 it would make me so happy :). I know a member named NeoArmageddon was working on experimental VR and it looked to be very interesting. However it appeared that he implied it was a difficult task to do with arma 3. Anyone got an update or know of anyone trying to make it work?

Hi! I'm using Arms 3 with my Oculus Rift (via VorpX) and in general I'm very happy with it. I think it is amazing how well it works for not having VR support built in. After fiddling with the resolution and FOV settings a bit I have almost no distortion when as infantry and in ground vehicles. The only problem I have its when flying helicopters. Somehow the FOV seems to be different in there and I have quite severe image distortions especially when rolling my head. Is there a way to fix this? By the way I already noticed the same problem when playing Arma 3 on a Monitor with Track IR, so it is not really VR related. Thank you very much for the help and best regards!

Hello, I'm an addicted player of Arma 3, mostly on helicopters...(<3 AFM) I play also on DCS and X-Plane and I have a question that I think here is the best place to resolve my question. I have pedals, throttle quadrant and a Joystick, fine for Helicopter and Airplane simulation but there is a thing missing here... but I don't know what to buy (or wait????): What I should do? Buy TrackIr 5, or wait for the Oculus Rift Non DK version? I have time, so I'm not in a hurry to get one of these. But I don't know because for simulation some people say that OR is not fine because you can't see instruments but I have heard that with OR you can see better the "distance perspective" or I don't know how to explain this... so if you see an object at 20 meters, it's like you really see that object at 20 meters but how I said I don't know all that. And a thing like that for flying helicopters is very immersive and cool. For what Games/Simulators I need this? Assetto Corsa, City Car Driving, X-plane, Arma, Take on Helicopters, DCS and if is OR a lot more of games. Sorry for any incorrect spelling. :) Cheers.
