So a year later this is obviously more than possible in mods and from original bohe content. BUT how do mods get their items into the props category? I have a mod right now that could really use the objects it offers in the props category. is this a specific file type or what. -
ugh just lost entire post because btw the preview post option ui is atrocious. but other than that i have some data for you. Just wanted to say in a much nicer way in the first post that while your into the sounds maybe poke around the sounds of a walking person. long story short got full ruck weapon and mags and my db reading cell app and upright walking up to about(for me anyway) 40ft per 30sec attributes no additional sound to the environment. I also found that the steps are virtually unnoticeable via db the bdu was actually louder. Also noticed that crawling in game is accurately in db. also found that crawling and crouching is louder than upright walking in a quite manner at no matter the speed. bdu scrapping floor on crawl and unbalanced duck walk and just crouching tends to leave slightly more imbalanced with heavier footsteps as a result at the same speed. controls on house db was taken on carpet, tile, and laminate floor at a house db of about 35db no tv's etc, no outside interference. Not criticizing just giving some data that may not have really ever been taken. I think personally the footstep sound is lacking in terms of db which is less of a concern to me than nice realistic noises. Thanks

The new Sector Module

I think it should be noted that at the time i post this at least, this module is no longer necessary for the ticket system sector control. Also that for those that are looking for modules to create a simple sector control should just learn to write code. Bleed tickets module parameter "dominance ratio" does not work, nor does the time (well it does but it will decrease by half for no known reason). Nor does the tickets parameter (description says the amount of tickets to bleed during full dominance) say if set at 4 once you control 100% sectors you only bleed 3 from other teams. I feel like if the bleed tickets module actually worked and the module could bleed based off of dominance %, and actually be compatible with 3 teams. Example 4 sectors with a .5 dominance ratio (in bleed tickets module) set to bleed 2 tickets. if BLU has 2 and OP has 2 only IND should bleed 2. OR if Blu has 2 sectors ind has 1 sector and op has 1 sector op and ind should only bleed 1, OR if blu has 2 sectors and op has 1 sector and ind has 0 sectors blu should not bleed, op should bleed 1 ticket ind should bleed 2 tickets (or by dominance %). Ive actually done well over 40 hours testing almost 100 different configurations to module parameters and placement in a mission dedicated to testing, used zues to control the inputs of factions to sectors. This module does not work...well maybe to a significantly limited extend. If im wrong please correct me but as I stand now I have the data that shows otherwise in most configurations. Hoping someone that is looking to setup a 3 faction scenario will find this and save them some time and just open up notepadd ++ and do it themselves. I can certainly provide a large portion of my data if requested granted its not before I get bored and forget about it. mostly just records and drawings of layouts for the syncing and modules placement and various parameter change attempts. For testing I used 4 sectors with necessary areas and triggers, respawn tickets module, bleed tickets module, and used without and with sector control module with actually the same results. -
Noob post about kicked out of all servers

I searched the threads and didnt find a good answer or even one from 2014. I keep getting kicked out of all the normal servers on arma 2 OA. I can get into dayz commander and play dayz all day long without issue but any warfare or coop in a regular multyplayer menu processes my guid and kicks me. this is a very recent thing ive been playing on these server every now and again for a year at least. I have many mods on ASR,FDF,Koren forces and yes it was all disabled every @MOD anything is disabled ive done that a hundred times without issue. the only new things that have happened recently is i do play on the editor and write sqfs and today i plugged in the -showscripterrors in my window to check my sqfs but i removed that before attempting to play. but yet today i cant log onto any standerd arma server. i also get a small message about battle eye client and serverside im just stuck not sure where to post and just want to have a bit of fun playin benny warfare couse dayz gets old after a bit any help would be greatly appreciated. ive also tried to update battleeye or check for updates without any luck even on their website couse nothing in my steamapps folders tells me which battleeye i have thanks again if anyone can help ---------- Post added at 02:49 ---------- Previous post was at 02:44 ---------- forgot to mention one odd thing i noticed is that the bottom of the server select screen where you see the mods needed to play... and below that it shows the players names that are in the game NO NAMES SHOW UP it shows in the top rightish area the number of players on and the ping but it will not show any players names. i feel like i am getting a hackers treatment by battleeye after using the -showscripterrors in my launch parameters but im not sure battle eye is even the problem just mentioning that no names show up now and to reitterate the -showscripterrors is no longer in my launch parameters thanks again for the third time for any help
