I don't think the point of JSRS is to alter gameplay mechanics. (And it shouldn't.)

Yep, as long as weapons are based on Arma3 ones, JSRS will fix them (due to config inheritences). BUT those weapons will use vanilla sounds - not the ones configured by the modder.

This part (also present in campaign, BI's copy-paste mania) isn't super easy, but you should be able to survive by throwing smokes when you spot the first contact.

I can only do config or scripting work, modelling is outta my range. :( And as Vasilyevich said, silencers are another story - I never really fiddled with weapons before : you'll have to wait for someone better or Massi to fix them, sorry.

Suggesting that BIS should follow the modders work rather than improving the game as they see fit is a bit weird... Besides, pretty much all mod devs are updating their weapon addons for v1.24 - what's the big deal?

Breaking point is a mod. It even uses JSRS sounds (eventhough I don't know if they have Lord Jarhead's permission, knowing the devs reputation...).

Actually, only gunshot sounds are affected, outside of that scope, sound mods are still working (including the "distance" effect in JSRS).

I don't know what to say, I've been using it with the r.c build for a week without a problem. Could you PM me your RPT log next time you try (No other addons than Massi's, if possible)?

I'm playing on 1.24 with JSRS and it's not completely broken, far from it.

It is caused by the lighting config; Fabio_Chavez has been working on new ones, but it is for AiA. I don't know if it will be compatible with A3MP - I hope so...

I assume you're speaking about infantry packs? As long as you replace Massi's config file with mine, everything should work. Of course if a mod package already includes Massi's files, those will need to be updated as well, but there's none that I am aware of (and shouldn't be, I dont think Massi gave permission to redistribute his work).

Small update! I've fixed the mp5_sd; since it doesn't work with the silencer attachment, it was easy to resolve. It also fixes the error message when using that weapon in game - now you have at least one silenced gun guys. ;)

That would be sweet - it would definitely bring another strategic level in Arma! Anyone here remember "Full Spectrum Warrior"? ;)
