    Windows locks after exiting Arma 3

    I thought that since I am the only user I would be the administrator? If that is not the case I have "propertied" all the .exe's relevant and set them all to Run As Administrator. Will test. I'm afraid I don't quite know what you mean. Can You clarify? I only have a simple external HD which I have had for many years. I also have TrackIR but it is set to start manually so during my testing I prefer to leave it off. Besides, if I use it I only use it while driving or flying. I have meticulously reviewed my "power plan" and am quite sure it is properly set to maximize performance. Neither, I simply log on to a TS ip which is owned by another user. Absolutely no screensaver/slideshow here. Something has crossed my mind though and that is, due to the fact that I am fanatical about running my PC as lean and clean as possible, I may have something switched off that prevent proper function of the headset being allowed to run as it should. It may seem far fetched but then again it is a PC:d: Thanks very much, and keep the suggestions coming.
  2. Apologies if this has been covered. Is there a way to adjust the weather or to be more specific, the fog. I find it a bit heavy especially with clear skies in the middle of the day. I have tried to adjust it in Arma but no change. Thanks

    @ Bratwurste Regarding your memory leak, I know this is not what you are seeing and it may be totally unrelated but... Page filing was mentioned and I am seeing SSD's as quite common now. Are you page filing on an SSD? Like I say, I know you are seeing RAM usage go through the roof but maybe in addition to your woes, you might be having unwanted read/write activity as well. Just a thought

    @ JamesSaga Co-op is, at this point in time a WIP, plus it has been shelved temporarily. We play it all the time and even when things go wrong, we still cannot stop. We simply tell ourselves that it's not the objective in this case, but rather the hunt! In order to reload the map so that you are together, you have to load from a "saved game", don't resume. Now how to do just that is a bit tricky so just PM Major Stiffy and he can tell you how he does it. Now as far as not having any "yellow" options in your menu, just respawn or for more drama, have your buddy kill you, and when you come to, you will have the yellow options again. Most of the time, quite often, usually, sometimes, once in a while.The host usually doesn't have any issues with this, as it's usually the client.

Request: Is it possible to add the option of ambient smoke (lightly drifting as a smouldering fire after an explosion) to the TPW mod? @Gliptal: Is it possible to add this option to your GUI and include a slider for smoke duration and view distance (for fps control) ? We were ambushed in a small village and had to lob a few grenades. I thought it would be so immersive if after a grenade explosion there would be lingering smoke. I also appreciate the complex scripting for such an option but not knowing anything about that I would wonder if that is even possible. Thanks!

    I hope it's ok to post my question here because even though it is related, it's a bit off topic. Firstly, I do think that the sound quality in games is thee most important mod to enhance game play, bar nun. That said I am looking for a sound card that will support 7.1 being used by a a set of Astro A50's. I've searched quite a bit but most of the information is all a bit technical and hard to understand, which makes my decision unsure. I was hoping to tap a person's knowledge as close to the profession as you are (LJH) and ask for advice. I appreciate your time!

I may have misspoke because,...I play the Pilgrimage mission mostly and it is one that can go on for days so I am wondering if the settings, or more accurately, the version for TPW "sticks" upon resuming the mission, at least until a new mission is started. Since I am ignorant about any aspect of mod's I may sound silly in my suggestion.

    I'm sorry if this question has been asked and that I may have missed it. Do you advise to not use other mods (soundscape) with yours? If I run just DF I do not hear that echo, reverb, as prominently as I do with DF+SS. Your forum thread states... "Also: DO NOT mix this soundmod with other soundmods!" ....Can you please confirm this because I just saw this video... ...and I miss that echoing... Thanks!

    Something to add to your "todo" list Ryd' In your MP version (when you get to it) of course we start with 2 players. Then as we liberate strongholds we have the option to free/buy? the captive and allow him to run with us. Would it be possible that once the captive has been freed he can be allowed to become another player, say "save game" and then let the scripts add another player slot? That way a third friend can join the hunt and again for a fourth, and fifth. I would prefer up to 5 players max but maybe others can chime in so you can get a sense of preferences.

    Found a couple of things... -when I bring up the marker system (shift/lmb) the marker UI is split on the map. Then, often but not always, it places a double entry on the map. If i hover the mouse and hit delete, one of the items will be removed but at the expense of another marker somewhere else on the map. -I alerted a chopper and it ended up in an endless circular patrol. Save and exit on the third try seemed to shake it loose.
  19. ...does TPW work with the latest BI update? What I mean is I know it works but are there issues that can arise so that I do not blame any other mods I may have running? I have it disabled for the time being but boy it feels lonely out here! Thanks much

    Hello Alpha_Kilo I think I read somewhere that you should also disable the EBS option in TPW as it conflicts with the same function in AGM. I don't know how to explain technically but the two mods provide the same function as far as enemy supression goes......something like that.

    Yes the yellow menu options do return but only if you save and exit As for your future MP endeavors go, I totally understand. You gave us what you can and for that we are still having a ball!!!

    Ok, thanks bud. I think I will stick with JSRS for now. Even with all of the mods I run, I get buttery fps. @Rydygier I know you are totally focused on Sp but once again, just so you know who is playing mp I for one still hope you find time in the future to refine it. MP Pilgrimage is pretty much all I ever play!,...everyday!
