Looking forward to this welcome back :) -
I pretty sure that you know this Kiory, but if you move the scope model forward or backwards from the centre axis it will change it's position on the rail. However, this will change from gun to gun since the optics proxy can be in different places. IMO, keep it like that since it looks at the right place on the L85A2. Cheers, Nixon

Run the mod with AiA, noting else, and it will work. You may have some errors, but will work for the most part. -

It is not a bug, the commander optics faces forward only in real life. Can you take a screenshot to illustrate what you mean... Cheers, Nixon -

Hi GalComT, I am very interested in your application of the PhysX engine on your Leopard 1A4 (I saw it on your YouTube channel). I am currently working on a Leopard 2A6 and would like to implement similar physics to are tank. Could you PM me to talk about how you tweaked your PhysX configs? Cheers, Nixon -
Great job Peral, looking forward on working on v1.1! Thx to you and Franze for your implication... really shows that cooperation in this community can lead to great things!

I was wondering what is good practice for LODs in A3. How many should we have, what intervals (0,5,10,20) and how many faces/points each intervals should have to run smoothly on an average PC (for A3).

Did you manage to make this only when the sight is in zoomed mode? I.E. the iron sights are still visible when in 1st person or 3rd person. If so, please PM me with the info. Nixon -
Cudos very nice mate, looking forward to this!

Advanced Flight Model based on HTR

Hum, that is sad, I hope it would. I guess there is no way to port theses dynamics to A3? Is TOHK also a physX game? -

Don't, just add to editor empty put down yourself and a gunner, launch the mission, order the the AI to board as pilot or gunner, use way points to fly around the map or attack markers for the gunner to engage. Did you configure your user custom 20 key? Look at mechmodels.com/mas/downloads/ah64v2/manual/ah64dv2_operation.html for more info. -

We are currently using the xml file from the A3 Mohawk (equivalent of the heavy helo in TKOH) and it works ok... However, the Chinook is 2 times it's size, so what parameters do I need to change to simulate this? BTW, did you try applying the xml in A3? I am curious to know if it really makes a difference or the two systems are incomparable. -
The example that Franze gave me is more complex (it is different from the BI way), but will do the job also. I wanted to show both ways to do this so if someone has the same question he/she can find the answer here.

Hi, I am currently working on 3 damaged states for are CH146. I have done the confing and the rvmats (bassed on the ones in A3), but I am cluess for what I need to do in O2. I found this tut (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Vehicle_Damage), but it is not very clear. Can someone shed some light on this? Here is my code for the config: class Damage { tex[] = {}; mat[] = { "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_rotor.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_rotor_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_rotor_destruct.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_main.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_main_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_main_destruct.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_in.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_in_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_in_destruct.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_glass.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_glass_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_glass_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext1.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext1_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext1_destruct.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_ext_destruct.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_detail.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_detail_damage.rvmat", "caf_griffon\data\rvmat\ch146_detail_destruct.rvmat"}; }; Rvmats are based off the ones of the Nato attack helo. -TG-Irr-Nixon replied to alduric's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Did you have a look at the Arma 3 Weapon Config Guidelines? It's pretty well explained ... (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Weapon_Config_Guidelines) Also, D/L the sample models for A3 (on Steam under Arma3 Tools) will help you with the memory points. If not, you can PM me and I can help. Nixon -
Ok, Not sure what to do can you give me an example of the code? Thank you!

I have a zbytek in named selection in LODs 1000 to 5000 and also in the view geometry LOD. However, I don't have a "sections" part of my model.cfg... how dose that work?
