    Ports Closed on Dedicated Server?

    Yes that's right. My isp is telling me that because my IP is a private dynamic IP,therefore portforwarding is not working. i have to pay extra to get a fixed public ipv4 address, but im not too well versed in these sort of things, so im not sure how accurate that is. I am having issues with players connecting, and on steam, under view game info, it just says server not responding. What did you mean by refreshing windows? you did a clean reinstall?

    Hello i am using the same router as you and am facing the same issues where after portforwarding, the ports are still closed. I have tried doing a factory reset, but it is still not working. What USB drive did you remove? my router is running the official 3.0.0.4.380_3459 firmware if it helps.

  4. @shay_gman my problem is addon units not showing up in the mcc zeus editor. the first picture shows me in the editor with all the addon units showing up, and the second pictures shows me in a mission with the addon units missing.   5. Hello i have a question! on some maps, the mcc zeus comes with modded stuff, like the RHS units and vehicles, and on some map it does not. Is there a way to enable these mod units to the mcc zeus for maps that dont have it?

    Oh so supression fire must be used on an enemy? it cannot be used in a general direction? i am using these all on nato vanilla infantry units, and the smoke nades still dont work

    hello thank you for the great addon! i have two issues: suppress and pop smoke doesnt seem to work. the supressing option just causes the unit to say supressing fire or something and nothing happens, same with pop smoke. am i missing something? i have cba btw

    arma 3 crashing

    Hello, I recently upgraded my computer, and there was a ram issue where BIOS was not able to detect the ram at the speed it is supposed to be. After upgrading, i have experienced crashes in arma 3 and rome 2 total war.     Apparently, someone said in this thread that it is possible to use the CAF insurgents to play against RU. Perhaps this may help? Also, yes i am sure that DUWS allows selectable revive option in the mission parameters, (revive off, humans revive, humans+ai revive). I just took a look and its there. Thank you for your wonderful work once again! edit: btw is it me or is the alive arty support not working? when i select the unit in the tablet, nothing shows up, when it should ask for the type of rounds/number of rounds
  13. Hello I am a huge fan of arma, and recently, playing on alive maps, i realise that i am lagging, getting around 15-19 FPS. I was hoping the kind people of this forum would help me identify which components need upgrading. My specs are as follows: Windows 7 64 bit core i7 cpu 860 @2.8ghz 12gb ram GTX 680 4gb ram Game is installed on a HDD, WD black I am looking to upgrade either the cpu+mobo or the gpu.     Identify my bottleneck!

    Thank you for all your replies! my ram should be ddr3 2000mhz, which is the maximum my mobo(asus sabretooth 55i) supports. I'm looking to get a new mobo plus cpu then. Would the new i7 i7-4790k 4ghz be good enough? I am also looking to get the asus sabretooth z97 mk 2. Would anyone have better recommendations? Also, how much of a performance increase would i see if i stream from a ram disk?? currently, the majority of lag occurs when im hosting local MP alive rounds on chernarus, dropping to 12-19 fps.

    ideas : RUS VS middle east insurgents on takistan. Make it such that RU bases across the maps are isolated, and the connected by narrow supply corridors with the main base at the huge airport. vehicles travelling along the corridors would always get ambushed by IED, mortar and hit & run attacks. Helos constantly shot down by stingers. small american special forces 'advisors' on the map too. The only problem i can envision is that the middle east insurgent and RU are on the same faction. Not sure if there is a workaround for it. Suggestions for current mission: Add selectable tasks( capture town, defend area/town, attack convoy, laze targets, medevac squad) add a revive script that allows you to revive ai, and for ai to revive you(i know DUWS has one, but not sure what its called) add selectable fatigue setting in lobby mission parameters add selectable ai unit spawn in mission parameters to reduce lag Thank you for your great work!

    Thanks for the quick reply! I did some searching, and found two missions with the script that does this. One of them is DUWS, which allows for AI revive & group Halo. In addition, there is another mission, 'Putin's dream' that is has more combat supports, and adds the alive module which simulates fighting and provides reinforcement. Adding these would greatly improve gameplay for small group games. I just spent 5 hours playing on this map and it is great! thank you so much for your help. Would you also mind adding a disable fatigue option in mission paramaters?

    Hello and thank you for such a great mission. If you dont mind, i have a few suggestions that would greatly improve gameplay for small group coop players, (1-4people) 1) Add a AI revive script, where the ai can revive human players automatically, and ai can be revived 2)add a group halo option, which halo drop everyone, including AI 3)add more combat support options, such as transport, cas, airdrop, convoy 4)more missions, like convoy escort, build FOB(additional respawn) I have seen scripts that allows one to do the above, and would really improve gameplay.   20. yes i did start a new game. ah i thought by using the mcc code in the esc menu, i could use the new respawn option. so to use mcc, i MUST use the old respawn option?

  23. shortly after starting we get mission completed. why is this so?is it because we are not using tfr or because we installed blacklisted mods?
  24. hello and thank you for spending so much of your personal free time to make this. what is the recommended amount of players for this mission? i usually play arma with a friend, and on a good day we can get up to 6 people(really hard) otherwise; is there any AI teammates in this mission?
