I would like to see an ultra realism mode where users upload a set of command scripts to the rover from mission control and the speed of light delay is taken into account (i.e. 15 or so minutes each way of delay depending on the orientation of Mars with respect to the Earth) and no live video (stills commanded and downloaded via script commands only).
An example of pseudo script might be:
Forward 1 meter
Right 30 degrees
NavCam + 10 degrees slew
NavCam -15 degrees pitch
Photo NavCam Resolution 1
Upload NavCam data to Mission Control
The commands would be sent to the rover and the data would be returned after something like 30 minutes of round trip data communications time.
I know this would be only for the most hard core but it would make it SO much more realistic for us O.C.D. types. :-)

Forgive me but I did not notice that this question was already answered in the following video interview. The short answer is YES everything that I suggested IS planned. WOOHOO!!!!!!!
