  1. Hey guys I need help with an issue I've been having for a week now. I'll put it in bullet form as it will be easier to read Leased a new dedicated server from Hetzner - Windows Server 2012 R2, 4770, 32Gig, SSD, 450 Mbit down 150 Mbit up. Installed ARMA3 Copied my server instance over from a previous dedicated server. Installed firedaemon and configure the ARMA3 instance to start in Session 0 (Interactive Services Detection) Installed ASM Done a bunch of other stuff Server FPS with only one player on it is around 45 fps, the same server instance on another server running with lower specs and windows server 2008 R2 has 50 fps with one player. When a few people connect the server fps goes up and then starts to go down normally as players connect. So it seems like I'm getting throttled some how. So I try a bunch of stuff after talking to Dwarden to no avial. Disabled core parking Disabling UAC Put power options on performance backed out ASM ( all dll's and everything ) Tried running without firedaemon and just using a short cut with startup params. Actually had the server reimaged just to be sure Installed everything again. Same problem 45 - 46 FPS with empty server. Now the fps goes up when players connect and I don't seem to be having a performance problem it's just that I feel that I maybe missing out on some performance somewhere. I'm running the lastest perf binaries. IDK, need some help. FYI the multiplier does increase on the CPU as players connect and maxes out at 44X @ 3.8 Ghz

    New Player friendly hardcore servers?

Breaking Point have some Hard Core / Merc Servers. http://www.thezombieinfection.com
  3. Wow awesome I have really been looking forward to this. Thanks to everyone who contributed or will contribute to this over time. This will change ARMA 3 for the better.
  4. We do not plan on recreating the weapons ourselves but will be using Maps, factions, assets and weapons from AIA and the community upgrade project and other large community made content.

Why are much more people playing Arma 2?

Who says there are no Dayz like mods for Arma 3. Check out breaking point, It's better than Dayz Standalone. http://www.thezombieinfection.com/
  6. Your right Cyrus ... the speed test I was doing wasn't accurate. It's not a full gig but better than 70 / 50 See results here 443.17Mb/s Down 150.15Mb/s Up http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3310204540

    ARMA 3 TacBF: NA

Thanks I added this to my steam profile.
  9. Thanks Kju that sounds awsome. Thanks Foxhound for adding to armaholic
  10. Do you have two seperate PTT buttons setup. One for teamspeak direct and one for VON. They can't be the same either.
  11. Ya Savage I've used every perf binary that has been put out since christmas. A few admins that are with Hezner already replied here and also others that have sent me a PM and they are reporting the same issue. I wonder if it's something in the BIOS. The server I have has a MSI board. Any hetzner leasers using an MSI Haswell Board?
  12. The 200 megabit garantee is internal LAN speeds on their 1 gig network only which doesn't apply to WAN speeds, if you had two servers on the same network then you would get a full gigabit, 200 mbit garanteed, but this doesn't apply to connections from the internet which is the speeds I posted in the OP. Thanks for the lesson on bits vs bytes but this is in no way the issue. Anyone figure this out yet.
  13. Thanks Atkins I was just about to post the event here. All are welcome.
  14. I don't think it's 2012 as one of the guys in this thread told me on steam that he tried it on 2008 R2 as well. I'm pretty sure the guaranteed bandwidth that you are looking at are LAN speeds and not WAN speeds. Do a speed test from a website and see.
  15. Still having this issue however performance on the new server is looking pretty good. 50+ players on a TacBF server and server FPS was 35+. I still think that I may be missing out on some FPS but it only seems to be -5fps when the server has no load. As it loads up with 10 - 15 players server FPS increases up to 47 - 48 where at idle it's 45.
  16. Already running the optimized perf server binary.
  17. Fred your right and I had it set to high performance before the re-image. I thought the CPUpark utility could set the power options but I had to do I manually through control panel. This seems to keep my CPU frequency higher but it makes no difference to server fps.
  18. Fred, yes I removed ASM and still have the problem. Can't see any processes hogging resources.
  19. Fred, Yes I seemed to have lost 5fps. Put power management on performance and rebooted. Same thing. This is a brand new server that I just setup a few days ago. I'm sure it had 50 fps when I first fired it up empty and now 45fps. The old server is still up and it's getting 50fps running same copy of the server instance, running the same mods and missions. I've reversed a bunch of other things trying to get the FPS back and to see where I went wrong but no way, can't find it. It seemed to happen around the same time that I installed ASM but the old box wasn't affected, I installed it there too. Odd .. oh well I gotta do a reimage anyway to change the SSD's from Raid 1 to Raid 0. Need the space and performance. Hopefully this kills whatever I did and will be checking FPS as I'm setting it up to see what step breaks it.
  20. It's reading all the metrics except AI cause there are no AI in our missions. FPS, CPS, PL#, MEM, OC0, OC1 is all getting read on both servers. OC2=0 though on both ---------- Post added at 17:16 ---------- Previous post was at 16:03 ---------- I just had a quick test again and the fps=45 in game as well with ASM off. It seems to me that as soon as i installed ASM i lost 5fps on one server but it could very well be an external variable that I'm just not seeing.
  21. First of all thanks for creating this tool, it's very usefull. Quick question: I have two dedi's running arma3 servers. I've setup ASM on both. One shows empty server FPS of 50 and the other shows empty server FPS of 45. Same mods and mission. The one with 45 FPS is the better box. If I remove ASM and do #monitor in game while I'm the only player I get 50 FPS. Any suggestions?
  22. TacBF 3.2 has been released Download here http://www.tacticalbattlefield.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=341&p=2317#p2317
  23. We designed it that way. It's not that we don't know how to make the params work we wanted to leave it up to the mission makers to determine the parameters and not the admin.
  24. Yes time and weather are forced by the missions and cannot be overridden by the parameters. You can change the fog level in the parameters however. This is something we'll discuss for the future but it was decided that the mission maker designs a mission for certain time of day and weather and this should not be changed.
  25. I would love to talk to you about midtex NordKindchen, come on over to our forums or come on TS to have a chat. With regard to JSRS and Blastcore ... we will use them when they are ready. MidTex would have to be forced for everybody or those using it will have a disadvantage. JSRS and Blastcore IDK could be optional allowed mods but would have to try both first. Really looking forward to these. ACRE will also be supported once officially release for A3.
