Hi Pete, thanks - but I've tried all of the above! It works fine for the sidechat, but things like globalchat still come up with BLUFOR: "my example line of dialogue". Yet, on BI's campaign, they get names up. For instance, on the globalchat channel they have Miller: 'giving his briefing etc.". Any ideas how they did that? -

Does anybody know then, how speakers' names are set? BI have done it. Even with KBtell though, I'm not sure how they did it? Any ideas? -

Using this command: _unit globalchat "Hello"; will produce BLUFOR: "Hello". But in the campaign, BI get conversations with John Doe: "Hello." on the global chat channel. Now, I bet it's because BI use, as you said, KBTell. Trouble is, it all looks a bit above my head! :) Shame there's no simple way to get a named prefix into the conversations. -

Great stuff Anthony! I'll be giving you a bell with the next episode! Tankbuster, I haven't had much luck. I've got one line of dialogue in Greek, but I've done the voice myself (I had a phonetic translation to work from, and I'm a Classical Studies student, so I managed to cobble the Greek together!). I've contacted a Greek speaker (still waiting to hear back) and I've left posts in a Greek Arma community. I was thinking, it might be quite cool to get some Greek ambient chatter - you know, like a few Greek soldiers talking together. If we kept it quite neutral, it would be a great recording for all of us to use in our mission making. So Greek speakers - if you're out there - do give us a shout! -

Hey Demongod - brill, thanks very much! I like what you've done with the radio transmission! I have my own variant, using the static and beeps from the Arma3 audio dubbing .pbo - so I'll probably use the 'clear' recordings if I do use them! I have had a lot of interest with this (and had some brilliant recordings!). I have had interest from a seasoned voice actor too, which is quite exciting! Anthonyfromtheuk and Demongod, would you be interested in doing future recordings, for later episodes in the campaign? It won't be anything too heavy - probably just a few lines here and there? And it wouldn't be until after Christmas, I imagine? I'll have new roles and the returning role for the pilot. You've both provided me with some top notch material - cheers! -

It's interesting, but on the campaign, BI have managed to get the globalchat 'BLUFOR' prefix into different names. This would be brilliant if we knew how! Anybody found out the answer through de-coding the campaign .PBO? I found some cool stuff, but not in relation to this! -

Bit of weird one this - I've added a sound and when it plays it keeps repeating! I've got loads of custom sounds, being used through playsound, say3D, etc. and they seem to be ok - just this one sound keeps repeating for some reason! Any ideas where or if I'm going wrong somewhere? ---------- Post added at 17:37 ---------- Previous post was at 17:33 ---------- It's the last entry in a script - don't know if that makes any difference? ---------- Post added at 18:59 ---------- Previous post was at 17:37 ---------- I managed to get a work around by creating the sound from an invisible helipad and then deleting it - but still, well strange! No idea why it was occurring. All my other sounds worked fine. So, no urgency on a solution - but would be great to hear from anyone who knows how to resolve this odd issue!

Hi - I've been playing around with the addaction command and have it working nicely. However, I was curious to know if there's a way you can change the text that pops up in the centre of the screen to one of the icons (in particular the white hand icon) that comes up when you go to pick up clothes, or a weapon, etc. Any ideas?

Possible to Attach Player to a Vehicle and Still have Free-look, Head Movement?

Ah, oh well. Guess that's a resounding no then? :p I quite fancied attaching the player to a seat on a helicopter so I could play other animations inside the helicopter - units are invisible when you view them from inside a vehicle if you're in cargo and they're attached. -

I've managed to get a bit of a work around on the lip synch which, doesn't look too bad at all really! Basically, use the 'this setrandomlip true' and set it to sleep for pauses in conversation or between sentences. Takes a bit of patience to get it to look right, but I think you'll probably be happy with the results. -
