A very welcomed update! Is there any planned compatibility with JSRS 3.0 in the future?
-
Just out of personal curiosity, what part of the cfg pertains to the gases coming off of the weapon systems. I would love to mess around with those a little bit for my own personal use.

Absolutely worth the wait! I love that you integrated the old weapons and a truck load of optics. The smallest issue I notice is that whilst everything else is compatible with JSRS, the in-room shots aren't. Other than that it's perfect.

Advanced Special Operations Detachment :: Arma 3 MilSim
TheShroud posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SQUADS AND FANPAGES
The Advanced Special Operations Detachment, A.S.O.D, is a community of gamers that enjoy the ArmA series created by Bohemia Interactive. We are a milsim community at our core, and have members with a wide range of talents. With both military and civilian members on our roster, our membership brings a wide range of talent that lends itself well to the complex game environment that is ArmA. Above all, we enjoy the challenge ArmA brings in its gameplay. Our motto "Always Faithful, Always Forward" is a testament to the respect of our people and a belief in constant improvement. Focusing on our precision as a group, "Do it right, do it fast" is the structure behind our operations. We enjoy the challenge brought about by limited resources in our engagements and the inherent challenges with utilizing a small sized force against a much larger adversary. An ASOD member is respectful of his community and recognizes that all members bring something, no matter its size, to the collective benefit of the membership. Our members are dedicated to learning from everyone and helping others within our system. After all, it may be cliche, but you really are only as good as your weakest link. When that link breaks, the entire group suffers. Our members recognize this and assist the collective membership when it’s needed. Taking initiative when required, but knowing when to follow is a balance every ASOD member knows. While we have our dedicated leadership, an emphasis is put on rotating our people throughout the various positions that make up our group so that everyone knows everyone else's job with clarity. As for our mission framework, we utilize several different co-op and PvP models. Our 'in-house' only operations are designed to test every member in the group, whilst our 'public' operations provide us an opportunity to introduce the ArmA community to our group. Our PvP operations are generally us shooting at each other and the smack talk, laughter and hilarity that goes along with. While our co-op missions are designed primarily to reinforce the training each member receives upon joining our ranks. We are always mindful ArmA is just a game, but we chose to enjoy it as it was intended to be played, with emphasis on the realism that Bohemia Interactive has produced in such a dynamic platform. There are many different styles and game types within ArmA itself, but if you feel like you're looking for something more, come join us for a bit and see if what we do is what's missing. See you in the war-zone... If you've got what it takes, visit us at www.asodmilsim.com -
Whenever I try to join a server with mods enabled (even if only one like VTS Weapon resting) I get a signature verification timeout error. The server owner told me the key is properly added on the server and the signature verification is set to 2. Any fixes?

Any plans to add upon or improve the direct chat in-game in terms of increasing shout distance and the ability to better hear what direction the speaker is located?

Is the mod going to be coded around the impending Bootcamp update?

Advanced Combat Sound Environment (A3) WiP Thread
TheShroud replied to tpM's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Get better man. Now out of curiosity are you going to coding around the upcoming Bootcamp update (Sound system is changed) or is the majority of the project in the old Arma sound system. -
Sorry I was unaware of such rule. I'm not going to pester the developer to a release a mod. It's their creation and they can take as much time as they want with it. I mean no disrespect and apologize for stepping out of line.
-
*(My foul up)* All apologies.

I saw some sounds and code for an M249. Is that going to release with the RH M4/M16 pack or is it going to release separately with your LMG Pack.
-
Thank you very much. I've been struggling for days over this lol.

Yes. I want the distance effects and such. I already saw LordJarheads post but I'm completely lost when it comes to incorporating it into the mod. If I send someone the code could they possibly paste an example in there.
