I didn't find the solution : i want to create a mission where 3 or more player can be zeus. I want them to select a game master slot in the lobby, then play the game. I tried to give a name to playable unit, then specify owner of Zeus module, but it's not working... Any help really appreciated !

Hi, I need some lights about Ai path lod, for building mainly. I did not found if it needs to be done into a 3D software then imported into O2 ? Or directly done into O2... I saw BIwatertower.p3d example, in this, Path lod is a simple mesh, but some pos1, pos2, pos3 are set ion vertice... But now idea how to do it. Someone has further info about path lod creation ?

I think also that this method is really unfair. I spent around 400h on Arma 3 tools. My addons have been fairly popular by Life servers and I'm fine with it if they folllow my rules (no repack, ask permission, give credit and maintain a clear credit list in their website). But unfortunatly, not even 20% of these servers are respecting our work. Today someone brought to my attention that a server was using my modified addon in their modpack (reuploaded and retextured) without even asking. Filled a report throught BI form... But guess what, it's not their problem if someone is messing with my IP : like i'll hunt for the german admin or check france authorities for a german gaming community (or lets laught a bit, a russian community). It's sickening. I don't even want to work on my addon anymore if I know that 200 greedy server admins will abuse my work to monetize their shitty server when I'm not gaining anything. All of this is unfair. So I'm for a rework of the BI monetization rules.

I don't know, i don't think it's very framerate friendly to have 40 doors on a building, so for now, most of my buildings will have static fake doors. -

thanks, still no real purpose... I'm just doing these for the community and because i like urban combats :) As i said, I haven't played a MP mission with my building, and would love a small CQB mission... Hope someone will find a good use in its own map ! -

I put the project on hold for a long time. I found the motivation to open it again this weekend, with some new building ideas ^^ I'll make some but probably not as polished as before : it takes me too much time to finish a model, especially with the door / windows config within OB. So my next building will most likely have no doors or/and no windows. A lot of people are coming to me asking for permissions, but I haven't played a single MP game in my own buildings (#so sad guy T_T) That's probably why I lost motivation in the first place, and the second... That's what I thought. :/ So it has to count at a second model for the engine, even if it's the same 3D object / textures etc... ? I never really used the texture within OB... If I place my MC texture in the face texture slot, will it behave like a MC (RGBA multiply over the rvmat) ? So I could change it on the fly. Correct me if I'm wrong, i'll probably test it tonight anyway :D -

I know I said I woudn't work on this anymore but... It contains 4 sections, no doors right now and poor shadowlod / geometry. Can someone tell me how to make the model to randomly load the MC texture so I can change colors without adding a new model ? In config.cpp ? -

This person is an asshole. Just track his workshop items or community server and make it shutdown if he's using your content without your permission (= repacking from workshop). I published my addon on Workshop, and so far I had a lot of nice people asking for permission (wich I almost gave to everyone asking for it). Haven't found yet someone using my work without my approval, but I'll have no regret blasting it. -

I really need to find an optimized way to handle so many texture / material, right now, I haven't touch it in a month since I'm struggling with textures... I also would love to find how you mmade yours, see how decal mat works ^^ -

Em_Buildings Update v0.5 Available on SteamWorkshop : Em_Buildings v0.5 : september 9 2016 - added bikey for servers - added "Land_em_heliport_01" - added work in progress "Land_em_building_04" - fix some issues with LODs As always, c&c welcome and have fun :) This is a quick fix, I hope everything is working. I don't really have time to work on this addon right now. I'm also opening donations, as I can't sell my work and want all the players to be able to play my addon and I know a lot of Life servers are requesting permission, I prefer them to donate few coins and let everyone use it. -

That's awesome ! Glad you sorted the rendering issue, wasn't afraid of it to be honest. Even with the post-tanoa render, your work was awesome. Keep going ! Btw, did you notice a perf gain with the way they improved LOD distance recently ? -

Yeah, that's a shame, I would love to make some FX like what I'm doing with Unity. If Bohemia really cared about the modding they would already have released some advanced basic tools... Like their tree generator that can generate LODS and rvmat on the fly :( -

Hi, I'm trying to make a bigger building : 4 floor + roof + small heliport, it's a corporate / office building. I'll try to optimize doors and windows count, most likely to have some doors in important places and empty doorway when no needed : the medical center was 45 doors and 30 windows, it was way too high and a pain in the ass to configure ^^ Anyway, i'll find a way to make this a true proper building : i'll add decals and hopefully some decorating props like vents, grids, pipes, etc...- 225 replies

Ah ah, thanks but your final result is way more realist than mine :D I feel like i'm rushing my work and not doing any details that give life to a building, like vents and eletronic panels, and all that stuff. They are very generic and not realy personnal. Fo example, is the vent texture on it's own texture, or is it an atlas texture ? The dirt is just fine, are you using decals for grafiti ?
