  1. In coop. Enemy AI can see AND KILL YOU THROUGH rocks/tress/terrain and great distance and with complete accuracy. This alone is a game killer it needs fixed.
  2. Guys I am real sorry, Just joined the forum and have not had time to sort out my forum settings. Thank you so much for the information above, the Razor is a great bit of gear especially if you have physical problems, it has helped me to play games before I could not. But again thank you for the replies. Colin.

    Game Alpha Software (Arma 3)

Being new here has no relevance. To complain about an unfinished product dosen`t make any logical sense. To give feedback does make sense and is far more likely to get a decent response and action.
  4. What is an Alpha Build. Alpha The alpha phase of the release life cycle is the first phase to begin software testing (alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, used as the number 1). In this phase, developers generally test the software using white box techniques. Additional validation is then performed using black box or gray box techniques, by another testing team. Moving to black box testing inside the organization is known as alpha release.[2] Alpha software can be unstable and could cause crashes or data loss. External availability of alpha software is uncommon in proprietary software. However, open source software, in particular, often have publicly available alpha versions, often distributed as the raw source code of the software. The alpha phase usually ends with a feature freeze, indicating that no more features will be added to the software. At this time, the software is said to be feature complete. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_release_life_cycle I have read 100s of post about how bad the Alpha is Performance wise, well not true maybe a few. Complaints, about nothing and everything, as far as I know there is a proper routine for reporting bugs or imagined bugs. But I see hundreds of posts complaining about it anyway. You have paid to be part of the development which in my opinion is a privilege, very few developers let the fan base near a game until its released, you have modding ability in an Alpha not heard of this before by any large company. The game looks better and plays better than most finished products from other so called shooter Developers, you have SP/MP/Campaign/Modding tools and in most respects it has backward comparability, ok it has got issues but for God sake its an Alpha. With Respect, some of you here need to have a bit of Patience and Respect for the Developer You have been given an opportunity, that many players don`t get. Colin.
  5. No I just thought maybe a preemptive warning to say the 2 builds may not be in sink between them and Steam, and could screw the game up. Stops all the forum stuff and ticket posts, just a thought.
  6. Could you tell us what you mean, so next time we are ready.
  7. Guys prone lean and peak left and right ? I seem to roll when I press q and e while prone ? yes I`m new. imagine the shock I got when I wanted to peak and ended up fully visible.:butbut:
  8. Yes agreed immersive for sure more than any game I have seen.
  9. Not my concern, they do what they think is best and I would respect that.
  10. First game in years I have bothered to look at. BIS have done an amazing job and I suspect are still doing. I am not familiar with Arma 2 and games before this one reason really steep learning curve. This game has more controls than an old fella can handle but I persevered and slowly getting there. Nostromo and Razer mouse. I have even been looking at the editor and placing ai in the map and doing my own thing, getting used to the complete game. So for $40 odd you can get a game that looks amazing by any Alpha standard, edit it to your hearts content, and help polish the final product. This dosent happen in this world anymore, but it does. BIS and supporters you have a great Tactical game being developed that if done right will be played for years in the future. A fantastic Alpha release. C.
  11. Sorry to revive an old thread but seemed like a good place to ask a question. Arma 3 Alpha and Razor Nostromo lay out. Its a dilemma trying to configure this game and RN I have been looking for an answer to this for a few days now but no real joy. If you are using a RN what is your layout, I think the ones I need to apply the most are the movement and stances ones. Comment on the Alpha, I haven`t bought a video game in years but some guys I know on our forums suggested this game, I have to say I am pleased, Arma 3 could be a major title for many gamers who play other games, less tactical so to speak. Too many buttons though  Any help here would be appreciated.
