  1. hon0, haven't you properly read my post? but we would have to tell everyone to do so, and once going on a different server turning it back up..... That's no use. I have tried that, works.. but same problem as I just stated above ^ Noubernou, how do I turn VON off on my server? I just wonder if UO had to do the same thing...
  2. I kind of have an equal question as hon0, but I got a problem aswell.. So I succeeded to set up a TS3 server on a VPS, ACRE direct chat works, but if someone uses the radio, we hear him twice, once the correct way, ACRE style. The second time we hear him clean on TS3. (when standing not close to eachother). It happens to be so that turning VON in options -> audio options fixes the problem, but we would have to tell everyone to do so, and once going on a different server turning it back up..... That's no use. I'm fully available if someone's trying to help me, Skype, Teamviewer, Steam, name it... This has been an issue for too long.

    For example, take the two animations, a man walking without a gun, and a man walking with a gun. I was thinking, You somehow replace the animation of 'the man with the walking gun' with 'the man without the gun', and that's all I wanted.. It's more like a temporary modification, purely for movies only.

  7. Hi, I've been searching for a while. And my friend wants to play on Expert mode but also wants to have nametags enabled, I can't find anything like (ACE?)'s nametag script. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.

    Will a GTX 550ti be able to play the run smooth? on lowest, ~720p im happy, my cpu is I7 860 2.80 ghz, ram 8GB, currently got a GT330 but it bottlenecks with arma 2.... and i dont got alot of money so a 550ti looked like an option.. anyone can give me some info? or another card for a max of 125 euros

I put it in this section as I was doubting if its really troubleshooting.. more like a question to me.. so... i let my (USMC) sniper target a 'Functionary'(civ) and i order the 'FIRE' command, but hes not shooting.. nothing else like 'Engage' or so worked.. Is the sniper too nice to fire at an unarmed civilian? lol :D
  12. Yeah, i've searched but its all code... i actually meant as a squad leader on a server not made by me (warfare e.g.) anyway... as I got my answer already I've got a new question.. Will missions that I created on Combined Ops work if people using arma 2 (free) connect? will they be able to connect? Because I have a mission with the unitcapture/play, which is only in OA/CO, while the mission is made in OA/CO will people using Arma 2 (free) be able to join?

Any way of making him evil??? :mad: btw i've got another question... im not sure but the only 2 silenced sniper rifles are the ksvk and the vss vintorez, right? the ksvk is an anti material rifle so should produce some more sound than the vss vintorez obviously. So uhhm, how silenced is the KSVK actually? like from what range AIs are able to ...hear/spot (idk) you. edit: fail.. just had a relook at the KSVK.. It isn't supressed isn't it? any way of making him shoot civvies? (force)

I made this thread to not having to redo all the 75 manual soldier coordinates, though I realized theres no use of continuing this thread, unless someone has the exact same way as the creator of Map Editor Upgrade mod of placing objects, i'll just redo the coordinates. I found a nice building that is already in the game... grid 114078, same building as i used to have, theres also one in chernogorsk, but for a hostage rescue mission i'd like it more in an abandoned place. thanks for your efforts, all of you.
  15. Hi all, i've got a problem. I'm making a hostage rescue mission with alot of infantry inside the building (75), for the building I used MAP Editorupgrade (EU) mod so I have access to all objects in the editor, worked great, when i (manually) created 9 soldiers, i stored the rest of the coords (66 left) and so I wanted to test it with a friend, unfortunately he cannot join because he also requires the map editor upgrade mod, but I don't want people to download my mod, yet I want to keep the building, so instead of keeping that building, i replaced it with something small like a can, and then used this line: bld="Land_A_BuildingWIP" createvehicle (getposasl this);bld setdir (getdir this);, Now that I tested again, the building is there, but its straight. it didnt adapt to the terrain it was on, which was a small sort of hill, so the infantry were badly misplaced, and therefor i can say goodbye to my 75 manually made coords inside the building, I really hope that the only issue is the rotating/adapting of the building to the terrain and not coords. so is there anyway i can create an object that adapts to the terrain it is put on or maybe another way of using this MAP EU mod while other people are not required to download it. please help. Thanks in advance, Martin
  16. All I want is that my object that i made this way is the same as the way it has been created in that editor mod, so far that has not worked yet.

  18. Haha, yeah.. i kinda explained this issue the wrong way, what i meant is that my object is not aligned to the ground its should be placed on, instead its just horizontally sunk into the ground. Let me test your suggestion. edit: error; missing ) is what i get, i'll try to solve it myself, but any help'd be appreciated. edit2: i just realized, this mission is made on arma 2, not OA, surfacenormal seems to be introduced in OA 1.60, i got OA though.. this mission is on Arma 2, due to my friends not having OA.
  19. Hello all, i've installed the Royal netherlands army mod, just to play around.. before that I made a mission, pretty long one, and i edited it while still having that mod.. I did not use anything of the mod though, so no dutch infantry or alike, yet now if I try to edit the mission while I got rid of the mods, it keeps asking for the deleted mod and i can't edit my mission.. I got rid of the mods because no1 could join my server without the same mods, while not using the mods in the mission.. how can I fix this? edit: fixed it by manually modifying mission.sqm with notepad and deleting the line under the AddOns(auto) function saying a2020_dutch_infantry or something.. and it worked.

    Tankbuster, 2 mins before you posted I edited my post saying I manually fixed it already, the way you did. plus I've been playing Arma for months, started editing 4 weeks ago, yet never used mods untill today, so I made the forum account.. Join date says nothing about how long that person plays the actual game ye know? :p thx anyway.
